Can Pro Version Output Replicate This:

Currently I am using the shortcode: [ecs-list-events venue=’true’] which outputs to:

Conference & Expo
April 17 – April 20 at Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

Can either the regular or pro version be exported to:
Conference & Expo
April 17 – 20, Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas

So that the end date month is dropped, a comma is added & at is dropped?

Additionally I am not sure if it will know to show the end date month if the month is different from the start date month.

I would love to help you with this topic.

The shortcode you are referring to comes from a third-party plugin.

I believe you will find Pro’s built-in shortcodes to be much more flexible:

2. https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/embedding-calendar-views-tribe_events-shortcode/

But back to your question for a second, yes that is achievable, but it will require a small template customization of the view/widget you want to modify.

You might want to read our Themer’s guide to get a sense of how that works.

Simply put, you:

1. Create a /tribe-events/ folder in your theme’s folder.
2. You copy the file of the view you want to change in it’s proper path.
3. You can add and remove things such as months and commas

To make sure that the site knows wether or not the end date month is different from the start date month, you will need to add a conditional that checks that in your template customization.

If programming is not really your thing, you could hire one of our recommended customizers to do the customization for you.
