Can buddypress members be granted access to create events?

Hi,

I am very interested in your PRO plugin and have some pre-sales questions. I am in the process of creating a social community website that uses a WordPress Theme utilizing Buddypress. Ultimately I want my registered users/members to have the ability to organize/create their own events from the front-end of the site somewhere. Is this possible to setup (I’m not a developer) out of the box with your software? Or will I need to hire a developer to implement this? Or is this even possible?

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the interest in our plugins.

We have Community Events add on that creates a front end form to create events.

That will give users the ability to create events and edit them.

It does create events only for a central calendar created by the Events Calendar.

There are no features to connect directly into BuddyPress and that would have to be done by another developer.

Hi,

Pro is only needed if you want to use the features of Pro.

Beyond that you can use any of the add ons with just the core version of the Events Calendar found for free on WordPress.org: https://wordpress.org/plugins/the-events-calendar/
