ParticipantUp until the most recent upgrade, the Events (Pro) Calendar widgets I had set up on the home page of two of my sites were working fine.
Both were upgraded and now both just show a spinning icon, img id=”ajax-loading-mini” gif
This tribe loading GIF has only just appeared after I upgraded: website has The Events Calendar 4.5.13 and The Events Calendar PRO 4.4.17
Weirdly enough, the the widget does show the upcoming 5 events but the calendar is not live and has this spinning icon. The website is built using Themify Ultra, but I emphasis, nothing went wrong until I upgraded the Events Calendar.
I also note that you have a fix coming soon for a ‘Fatal Error with the Customizer for Some Users of Events Calendar Pro’.
I don’t know if it is part of that problem. My clients are not at all happy with this state of affairs.

MemberHey Peter,
Thank you for reaching out to us! I’m very sorry about this issue you are experiencing, let me help you to solve it!
I’ve seen a few threads where users are reporting this exact same problem and after reviewing and comparing them, I believe this issue might be associated with a conflict between your Page Builder and The Events Calendar.
To confirm this, can you please temporarily change your theme to another one like Twenty Seventeen and let me know if the issue persists after that?
Also, can you please let me know if you did recently update your theme/Page builder?
If you downgrade The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO to their previous versions, is the problem solved? (We have a case where the issue persists even after the plugin downgrade).
Please send us your test results so we can further investigate your case.
Thanks!
Patricia

ParticipantThank you,
The problem arose when I upgraded the Calendar and had done nothing else was changed. How do I downgrade the version?
Also do I have to downgrade the EC Pro plugin as well?Lastly, will I lose my CSS or anything else if I downgrade?
Thank you.

MemberHey Peter!
Answering your questions:
You can downgrade your plugins manually (via FTP). The process is pretty simple and you will find all information you need here.
Basically, you will have to access your server via FTP, head over to wp-content/plugins/ rename the existing “the-events-calendar” and “events-calendar-pro” directories to something else (you can also move these directories to another place or simply delete them, it’s up to you!), download the previous versions of The Events Calendar (4.5.12.3) and Events Calendar PRO (4.4.16) from your Downloads page and install them again (via FTP or via Dashboard).
This downgrade process won’t affect your CSS (unless you modified/customized the plugin core files, which is not recommended).
Let me know your test results! If necessary, we can also run some tests from our end: in this case I would suggest you to send us your Page builder files via private reply so we can further investigate your case.
Thanks!
Patricia

MemberHi Peter,
One more thing I forgot to mention before: please backup your site files and database before changing anything! We recommend that all users perform site backups before manually updating/downgrading their plugins. You will find all information you need to backup your site in the following article:
https://codex.wordpress.org/WordPress_Backups
Let me know if you need anything else in the mean time and I’ll be happy to assist!
Best Regards,
Patricia
