I have a client that is excited to use The Events Calendar Pro & Events Tickets Plus for their website. They have a specific feature request that I haven’t seen whether it can be accomplished:
“We would like one person to be to able register several people on one ticket, but everyone who is registered get their own email confirmation. I envision an individual paying for a training for several members of his/her staff, but then inputting each person’s name and email address on a single ticket. I think the push back on having one person register multiple times is that it’s time consuming, especially since most of these are paid events, and the person would have to put in their credit card info for each person as they register them one at a time.”
Is this possible with Events Tickets Plus?

ParticipantI have the exact same question! I thought that’s how it worked. We are set to launch registration in two days and will be selling bulk group tickets. Also, we need the tickets to have the attendees name on it, not the purchaser. If it doesn’t have the attendees name on it, how will we know which ticket belongs to which attendee when they come to check in? This could cause us to qr scan someone in, but if someone doesn’t have their ticket and we are looking up attendee info they could show as already checked in…
Hopefully there is a way to make this work!

ParticipantAlso should note- if you have someone purchase bulk tickets and one of the attendees show’s up and you need to manually check-in, the search function does not find them. The search function is only finding the purchaser, which again is a bit problematic since we’re asking for specific details about each attendee (diet restrictions, shirt size, etc.)

I follow how that’ll allow me to collect multiple names for individuals attending, but is there any way to use that information to generate separate tickets for each person.
For example:
Someone purchases 20 tickets for 20 different people. Is there a way that I can enable the purchaser of the tickets to enter in those 20 people’s email addresses and have a ticket sent to each attendee?
If I’m missing something simple here, feel free to let me know.
This is the linchpin in getting my client to sign off on both The Events Calendar Pro & Events Tickets Plus. As soon as we have an answer we will be making the purchase. Thanks!

At this time, that’s not a built in option, but it theoretically could be possible, but would require some plugin customization (which we couldn’t support on our forums). We have some resources for doing some customization here. If you need to find someone to help with the customizations, we also have some tips for finding help here.
