GuestWe have a programme of events of between 100 to 600 events ‘live’ at any one time across a year. We add, remove or edit these events at least once per week and at peak times several times per week. Whilst the events aggregator may offer the solution we need I’m not sure if it’s as effective/simple to use as our current one (from the user point of view).
We maintain the master data within our own internal CRM system built on SQL Server. We have a single ‘click’ facility that locally packages the records we have selected to show on the website, it contacts the remotely hosted SQL database linked to the remotely hosted website (same host), it sends the data which is then unpackaged into the remote SQL database which the website then accesses as and when requested. This is literally a one button click for the user as and when we want to and a 5-10 second wait before the new data is live on the website, whether this be a simple edit of a single spelling error, or marking and event as ‘cancelled’ or uploading a complete new set of 100 plus events. I.e. the data is ‘pushed’ to the website.
Event Aggregator would seem to always need the data to have been repackaged into a csv or exported to another package in some way, before it is pulled in by various actions from within event calendar. Have I missed something. Can it be as simple as our current system? Can it be set up so that from the event calendar end it can automatically find a remotely hosted csv or similar file… or something else?
Many thanks

KeymasterHi John,
Thanks so much for reaching out and for your interest in our products!
With Event Aggregator, you can set up a scheduled import at a specific interval, so it can pull data from your source and update your site with that data.
This, however, cannot be accomplished via CSV, but can be accomplished through a variety of other sources.
Let me know if you need any further clarity on this issue!
Thanks,
Jaime

GuestCan it pull data from an SQL Server datasource?

KeymasterHi John,
Unfortunately, Event Aggregator is not set up this way for our customers. It’s worth mentioning here that we have a great 30 day full refund policy, so if Event Aggregator really doesn’t have the functionality that you are looking for, you are welcome to a full refund.
Let me know if you have any other questions!
Thanks,
Jaime
