Booking confirmation email not recieved

Hi,

Just setting up add ons to Event Calendar using Event Tickets plus and Woo commerce – I’ve successfully created a test event and purchased tickets using Stripe, so all set up and nearly ready to create a live event.

But – emails are not going to the buyer – i.e. confirmation emails / processing emails / refund emails. Nothing is going through to purchasers. I’ve tested several email addresses out. The RSVP part is working fine however.

What’s happening?!

Also, there seems to be no option for the buyer to ‘print the page’ when the ticket information comes up – does this exist or how do I get it to work?

We’d love to help you to figure out this issue.  As a first step, would you mind providing us with your system information?  This way we can take a look at what you have going on with your site, check out your theme, and make sure that everything is up to date.  You can follow this article here to do that: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/sharing-sys-info/

Another option would be for you to use a system that will send tickets from any chosen email address.  You can simply install, configure and test the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-wp-smtp/

Using a real SMTP server with authentication will bypass the built-in WP mail functionality altogether.

Please make sure you configure and test the settings using the plugin’s built-in tool.

We need the ticket purchaser to at least get a receipt.

I will check out the other options, but would prefer to get this working than get another plugin.

Hi Kate,

Thanks for getting that information to us! I see that you have WP-Mail-SMTP activated on your site.  Have you tried configuring this plugin to retrieve your emails?  As I mentioned previously, it could be a great option to bypass the WordPress servers.

Another thing you could do is to check with your host and see if emails are going through there.  Sometimes they can get stuck there or can get stuck in your spam folders.

Just to confirm, are you getting any emails through your site?  You may want to do something like create a test user and see if emails are sent for that.

I have had to ask our web developers their advice – which is below:

• The WP-Mail-SMTP plugin has been set up and configured with your mailbox information.
• Emails are coming through via the website (we just tested this and received test email).
