Hi, which of the additional plugins does support free attendee registration for events (name, email)?

    Thanks,
    O.

    Hello,

Event Tickets provides RSVP functionality (for free events) and collects attendee names and emails by default. If you need custom fields, Event Tickets Plus will let you create them.

Please let me know if you have any other questions!

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

thanks – the free version works very well… but it seems that the registration is free and open…
how about some “spam” protection? (like used when posting this message?)

    thanks,
    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,

One method that you can use to protect from spam is to require users to be logged in to RSVP, which you an do under Events > Settings > Tickets. If you’d like to use reCaptcha, you could do this with a customization (please see this post for more information). Our themer’s guide is also a great place to start when doing customizations!

If you’d like to see additional spam prevention measures built in to a future release, could you please let us know over in our Feature Ideas Forum? This is what we use to gauge user interest in new features and help guide future development efforts.

    Thanks,

    Jennifer

Hey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.

    Thanks so much!
