Guest• Ability to cross sell products, ie, books related to event, additional sessions with Rebecca, Individual Reading with Christel
• Automatically generated registration list to use at an event to check off everyone who shows up. We always have people sign in with their signature, so need to have a signature line
• Automated confirmation to go out listing the name of the event, the date and times, location, nearest airport and a link to the hotel so they can make a room reservation, etc…
• Ability to send reminder emails to everyone in an event
• Ability to print out name badges
• Ability to register people at the door or over the phone
• Ability to at a glance see how many people are registered for each event (already have this)
• Ability to set a maximum number of people and ability to indicate how many spaces are left or ability to tell people the event is selling out and spaces are getting limited
• Ability to send follow up emails to every participant
• Automatically provide agendas to each attendee before the event
Thank you for your help. I think this is exactly what we need just checking on these last details! I’m sure I can custom code whatever is not covered here by TEC Pro.

MemberHi Shirley!
Let me try to answer each of those questions in turn 🙂
Ability to cross sell products, ie, books related to event, additional sessions with Rebecca, Individual Reading with Christel
Potentially, yes: our ticketing addons integrate tightly with a number of different e-commerce plugins and there are definitely avenues to leveraging any cross-selling capabilities that they have.
Automatically generated registration list to use at an event to check off everyone who shows up. We always have people sign in with their signature, so need to have a signature line
Our ticketing addons can all generate an attendee list that you can use to check people in – it works electronically but you can also print it out 🙂
A signature line isn’t included by default, but there are a few ways around this (you could for instance export the actual attendee data and pull it straight into a suitable home office application and add signature lines or anything else you might need there).
Automated confirmation to go out listing the name of the event, the date and times, location, nearest airport and a link to the hotel so they can make a room reservation, etc…
The way our ticketing addons work is that as soon as an order is “completed” or “confirmed” a set of tickets are dispatched. Normally this coincides with a receipt being sent by the e-commerce plugin, so that sounds like it will fit your needs.
Ability to send reminder emails to everyone in an event
Some e-commerce plugins will allow you to email whomever placed a particular order (WooCommerce and Shopp can both do this, I believe, and the same may be true of EDD and WP E-Commerce but I’d recommend checking with them) – but if that doesn’t fit your needs it’s certainly possible to build up a simple customization to handle this.
Ability to print out name badges
This is something you’d need to handle yourself, I’m afraid 🙂
Ability to register people at the door or over the phone
Definitely possible.
Since we support four different e-commerce plugins at this time (WooCommerce, Easy Digital Downloads, WP E-Commerce and Shopp) I’d recommend trying each of those out and seeing which provides the most comfortable workflow for you/your team on this count.
I think most support the manual creation of orders by admin users.
Ability to at a glance see how many people are registered for each event (already have this)
Yes! You can easily review the attendee list on screen, which includes a concise summary at the top.
Ability to set a maximum number of people and ability to indicate how many spaces are left or ability to tell people the event is selling out and spaces are getting limited
Absolutely possible: while some of that information doesn’t display by default, our plugins include the tools to make this sort of customization easy.
Ability to send follow up emails to every participant
Potentially, yes. As before most e-commerce plugins record and facilitate some level of communication by email with each customer. Do note however that, by default, the email addresses are collected only for the purchaser.
Automatically provide agendas to each attendee before the event
You could certainly use the attendee data to email each person who ordered tickets and send them whatever information you like – to automate this would require a further customization or two.
I think this is exactly what we need just checking on these last details! I’m sure I can custom code whatever is not covered here by TEC Pro.
Our pleasure.
Just for the avoidance of any doubt, do note that what we’ve been discussing here largely relates to a combination of The Events Calendar (our free, core plugin) and one of our ticketing addons – Events Calendar PRO may not actually be required, though it could optionally provide you with a number of extra facilities if you need them.
Thanks again!

MemberHi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
