Allow Users to Set Number of Tickets on the Front End

Is it possible to allow users to submit the number of tickets available using Woocommerce Tickets on the front end? I think the easy answer is no, however, if I add a custom dropdown where the user can select the number of tickets, can I fill out that field and other Woocommerce Tickets fields using php on the back end? If so, how would I do that?

Hi Jennifer and welcome to the forums!

I really wish the answer was yes but I’m afraid allowing visitors to submit the number of tickets available on the front end is not possible.

We are developing a way for this to work via the Community Events plugin, so please add your vote for the feature here and you’ll be updated as progress is made on it. It will definitely take some time before it releases, but this should keep you on the up and up. 🙂

Not currently, I’m afraid–well, at least without a fairly hefty amount of custom development.

Like the front-end submissions, we are also digging into custom fields for tickets as well. Same sort of deal as far as timeframe but it is something we are tackling and plan to release in a future version.

Sorry for the bummer answers on both accounts–I hope we can be telling you “yes these are possible” in the near future. 🙂
