Hi there
I am using the Events CalendarPro and have added a couple of All day events for Sept. 2018. URL – http://www.bedfordpark.ca/events/2018-09/I can’t figure out why the Day1-5 all day items are doubling up?
Any suggestions?
Thanks
AndrewAugust 27, 2018 at 11:11 am #1606851Andrew GregoryParticipantHi
I’m still having issues with some events doubling up. Additionally when I create a series of events, many of additional dates for these events do not show up?Please help.
Thanks

Thanks so much for reaching out!
As a first step, can you provide me with a screenshot of how this event looks on the backend, so I can try to replicate the issue that you are seeing?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

August 28, 2018 at 6:49 am #1607556Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Andrew,
Thanks for providing me with that information.
I do see one event duplicating, though I’m not able to exactly replicate what you are seeing.
As a next step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

I changed up the theme to Twenty seventeen and the same issue occurred.
I deactivated plugins and the problem still persists. What are the next steps?
Thanks
AndrewAugust 29, 2018 at 5:20 am #1608589Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Andrew,
Unfortunately, I could reproduce the same issue on my end. I have logged a bug report for this so it can be addressed in one of our next maintenance releases of our plugins.
I will set this thread’s status as “Pending fix” and link it to the report. This way, we will notify you once a fix is released.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we appreciate your patience while we work on this.
Please let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
August 29, 2018 at 5:51 am #1608641Andrew GregoryParticipantOk. Thank you for looking into this.
When might the fix happen? This is school calendar and all eyes will be on it starting next Tuesday. Is there no fix we can apply to this website while your development team works on a solution for the whole plugin. I really just need the extra “DAY” removed from the first instances of these five events? Thanks
AndrewAugust 29, 2018 at 6:16 am #1608669Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterHi Andrew,
I completely understand. This is a high priority bug that is currently being worked on, but I cannot provide an exact ETA on when it will be resolved.
If this functionality is a requirement for your intended project, I’d suggest that a third-party developer would be the best way to make this feature happen on a short timeline. ? We maintain a list of developers who work with our plugins on our Knowledgebase here:

Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
August 29, 2018 at 6:43 am #1608695Andrew GregoryParticipantHey
Ok. Thanks for your help. Unfortunately the school doesn’t have the resources to hire a developer and will have to wait for the update.
Can we be notified when there is an update? Thanks
AndrewAugust 29, 2018 at 10:23 am #1609021Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterYup, you will be notified in this thread as soon as a fix for this issue has become available.
Let me know if anything else comes up along the way!

Thanks for the update.
I ended up installing the new version. It didn’t break anything further but
it did not fix the issue. Some of my are still doubled up.Thanks

October 1, 2018 at 4:23 pm #1634977BarryMemberI’m so sorry we missed your follow-up, Andrew.
It may well be the case that, for the recurring event series exhibiting this behaviour, you need to recreate them. An easy way to do this could be to edit each series and modify the description very slightly (add an extra line break, or add a recurrence rule – save – then remove it and save it again).
Does that resolve this for you? I realize it isn’t ideal to have to manually go back and update things like this, but my understanding is that the work done to resolve this only applies to new recurring events and not to ones which were already created.
