Dave
GuestDear Hootananny Tribe
I have used your free version and somewhat enjoyed it but I have a problem and I need help understanding if the PRO version helps me. The cost of the product is really very reasonable even at the agency level for what I need.
First thing
I have had to do a lot of work to prepare my CSV import files from existing DB tables. Sure, I get it and I know I have to do the work but I would rather do it once and script it and done. I don’t want to invest in CSV hacking. Is there a JSON approach that I can write against and is used on other services, brings me to next question…Second thing
I need to add events but I don’t really have any of my own. I need to collect them from others that have services and applications that support a feed or some other delivery. You mention meetup and icalendar, both of which would be great to use. Is this included in PRO or is it a service? I don’t get that. On the site there’s something when you click the free calendar that takes you to a page that says 100/mo and there’s a price. Can you explain what the offering actually is. Is this Pro with support or a separate service entirely. I may still want PRO but I would like to know if I buy at agency level would it be baked in?Well that’s it. Thank you for your help and responses. It was unclear to me in the 7 minutes it took to consider a purchase after using your software and understanding over 3 months it is worth every penny.

KeymasterHi Dave,
Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to help with your questions.
It sounds like the product you are looking for is the Event Aggregator. This is actually not a plugin, but a cloud based service that adds choices to the sources you can import from in Events > Import.
The number of imports per day that is specified in the pricing refers not to individual events, but imports from a particular calendar source. Each of the counted imports could actually contain thousands of events.
With aggregator, you can also upload ics files locally the same way that you can csvs. Unfortunately, there is no option for JSON per se. You can import from other sites running the events calendar, which uses the REST api, but I’m not aware of a way to use that directly.
If CSV imports are not working out for you, I would suggest using a service like Google Calendar, Meetup, etc to create the events initially, but then import into the site from the sources.
Hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any additional questions about this.
Thanks,

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
