ParticipantIt’s been a couple weeks now since aggregator has imported any events. For a week or 2, I just figured nothing new had been posted on any of our feeds but when I tried to add a new feed today it said that no events were found (see picture).

KeymasterHi Jason,
Due to recent changes in the Facebook API aimed at protecting user privacy, importing events from Facebook is not currently possible. However, more changes are expected to be announced in the near future. We are working on getting as much of this functionality restored as possible, but this will depend on what happens going forward with the Facebook API. So sorry for the bad news here! We are posting updates on this issue here as they become available.
If this means that Event Aggregator no longer works for your project, we will be happy to switch out this license for another product. If you would like to go ahead with this option, just let me know, and I will get it taken care of for you.
Please let me know if you have any questions!
Thanks,
Jennifer

ParticipantAnd what if Facebook figures out how to make it so that imports work again? Event aggregator was almost the sole reason that our website started and still a major feature. If functionality is restored I would much rather have that but we also paid for a product that we only got to use for half of the time we licensed.
I understand the changes were out of Modern Tribes control but if someone changes something in our program we still have to answer to our customers. Saying that we can use some other feature unrelated to the problem doesn’t fix anything.

KeymasterWe are hoping that we will be able to get things back up and running at some point, but unfortunately we cannot make any guarantees on this or offer a timeline as to when that might happen. This is something that we are continuously working on though – I understand that Facebook imports was a major feature of Event Aggregator for many of our users, so it is definitely something that we want to restore if we can!
For the time being, we also understand that this interruption in service means that EA is no longer a great fit for some of our users. So, we are offering to swap out the license for another product that might be more useful, or we can also do a partial refund for the time remaining on the license. Please let me know how you would like to proceed, and I’ll be happy to take care of it for you!

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
