ParticipantHi guys,
I have updated all TEC-plugins to the latest versions. The issue with the View All-link persists, it still results in a 404 error message.
The event link + /all works. The event link + /alle (Dutch translation) doesn’t work.

ParticipantI saw a suggestion in another thread and decided to try it out. The steps I have taken are:
1) Install the Loco Translate-plugin available in WordPress Plugins
2) Activate the plugin
3) Go in your WP menu to “Loco Translate” (for me, it was located at the bottom of the menu)
4) Click on ‘The Events Calendar Pro’ under ‘Running plugins’
5) Click on your desired language
6) Search for the /all-translation in your language, so “alle” in my case.
7) Select it and go to the bottom of the page. It says “Dutch translation:”. Select it, and change it to “all” instead of “alle” (in my case)
8) Click on the blue Save-button
9) Go to your calendar and try to click on one of your View All-links.This did the trick for me!

MemberHi there Hans,
Thanks for the detailed feedback on this issue! I’ve been talking about it with the dev that pushed the fix for it in the just released MR.
Unfortunately to solve the issue we needed to add a new translation string in ‘The Events Calendar’ for this. I just suggested the translation for Dutch here, if you approve the string and re-download translation file it should work as expected.
Please let me know about it,
Best,

ParticipantNico,
Tried that, but no success. The earlier translated “View All”>”Bekijk alle” was set back to ‘View All’ in the new file, clearly indicating that the new file was introduced succesfully….
The link had changed to /alle, but it resulted in a 404 page nonetheless

ParticipantHold on, just realized a mistake.

ParticipantI downloaded the new files, the error I made was uploading them in the PRO\lang-folder instead of the CORE\lang folder.
But after fixing that, the link remains /all (and works), I don’t yet see /alle in the link.February 23, 2017 at 3:17 pm #1244879Dan
ParticipantYes indeed 4.4.3 still does not work
Would WPML bring a solution to this or what is advised ?
Moving back to 4.0 because we discovered many other issues

MemberThanks for following up folks!
@ Hans, sorry if obvious but did you actually try to re-generate permalinks after placing the new file (WP-Admin > Settings > Permalinks > Save Changes)?
@ Dan, at the moment we are looking to see if this is actually fixed or not. The work around Hans mentions in his second reply seems to do the trick for now. If you are experiencing other issue apart from the one we are discussing here I recommend you open a new thread for those.
Have a great weekend,

ParticipantNico,
Didn’t try that, that wasn’t obvious for me 😉
I had to roll back to pre-4.4.2 versions due to other issues (see my thread from today here)
After that, the issues persisted, even after regenerating the permalinks. I’m figuring this issue is at least dating to pre 4.4.2-versions.I have reapplied the workaround in my second reply and without having to regenerate the permalinks, this works like a charm

Excellent! Brook from our team suggested another fix as well → https://gist.github.com/elimn/df638214c7bb3b734e8e818e043d2729
If you have the chance of setting up a different site to test this (maybe a local site) we can check if this is solved by updating the translation strings.
Hope translations are up to date and that this is working by the time you catch up with updates!

ParticipantHi Nico,
Since 4.4.X seems to be riddled with bugs, I have decided to rollback to 4.3.X
This fixed the issue with showing showing older occurrences using the View-all button (see other thread I posted about this, just now)
This also fixed the issue I kept having with translated /all-string causing 404 pages. Now it just works fine with /alle (translated) in the stringMarch 6, 2017 at 6:50 pm #1250206Nico
MemberThanks for the information Hans and sorry about the issues in 4.4.x affecting your site 🙁
Do you see any value in keeping this thread open for now? Maybe we can keep it open until you can update to an upcoming version and check if this is still an issue in some way.

ParticipantNico,
I’d be fine trying it out when the next update comes along (that hopefully fixes the other issues as well). If you can give a heads up when the time is there, that would be appreciated.March 13, 2017 at 3:48 pm #1253562Nico
MemberHey Hans,
We shipped maintenance release 4.4.4 last week, not sure if it addresses the other issues but you can check the specific in the release notes here → https://theeventscalendar.com/maintenance-release-events-calendar-4-4-4-event-tickets-4-4-4-premium-add-ons/

KeymasterHey there! This thread has been pretty quiet for the last three weeks, so we’re going to go ahead and close it to avoid confusion with other topics. If you’re still looking for help with this, please do open a new thread, reference this one and we’d be more than happy to continue the conversation over there.
Thanks so much!
