Denis
ParticipantI having new issue with the Addthis social share plug-in and event calendar. Javascript code related to add this plug-in is appearing in the events calendar floating info box for an event. Nothing was changed recently. I updated the Addthis plug-in to the latest, but no change.
Not sure I want to move to Version 4.0 at this stage as I know this is a big update.
I’m using the Avada theme version Version: 3.8.7

If I disable the Addthis plugin the error goes away.
Any idea as to what might be happing here?
Thanks.

MemberHi Denis. Thanks for the link and screenshot. Sorry you’re seeing this.
Please leave the AddThis plugin active but switch to a WordPress default theme like Twenty Fifteen. Does it still happen?
What about if you deactivate all other plugins besides Modern Tribe ones and the AddThis one?
(Essentially, I’m asking you to follow a slightly modified version of our Testing for Conflicts Guide and see if that helps narrow down the cause of this.)
Please let me know what you find out. If it’s still happening with a default theme and no other plugins active besides AddThis and our plugins, please provide me with a copy of the plugin (e.g. link to .org).
Thanks.

MemberPlease disable all non-Modern Tribe plugins, enable WP_DEBUG, clear your browser cache and then see if things get resolved for you.
I know it’s not a fun process to go through; thanks for doing it.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Yes but the “share by add this” plugin was also disabled. when I enable this plugin, this problem is still there and does not work with event calendar plugin – as you can see on the site now (http://staging1.newmarketparish.com/events/ ).
Add this plugin is widely used on wordpress sites.
Regards, Denis.

MemberOn my local install with Twenty Fifteen theme, I…
- enabled AddThis Sharing Sidebar and set it to display on the right
- I added
{ "services_exclude": "print" }to Advanced Options > Additional Options > addthis_config variable - I added
{ "share": { "services": "facebook,twitter,google_plusone_share,more" } }to Advanced Options > Additional Options > addthis.layers() parameters
I believe that’s all your non-default settings.
And I didn’t experience the same thing your site does:
As such, please enable Twenty Fifteen theme, disable all plugins except our plugins and AddThis and see if it’s still happening.
If it’s not, good! Then start enabling your theme and plugins one-by-one and do a hard page refresh to see if you can figure out what’s causing the issue with AddThis.
I hope this helps. I know it can be frustrating to track down conflicts.
Thanks.
