Hi,
I use shortcodes in the page because I can’t use the permalinks but it looks very wrong. Please help me to solve this problem.
For e.g. I will love to look like this (which is normal) : https://raceconnections.com/index.php/events/community/add
I attached a print screen with the page.
Thanks in advance!

As a first step, let’s try to rule out if there is some type of conflict at play.
This is usually because of:- A conflict with another plugin
- A conflict with your WordPress theme
- A template customization for the Events Calendar that requires updating
When it comes to that type of issue, it is preferable to troubleshoot in a staging environment if you have one.
A first quick test is to simply temporarily revert back to a default WordPress theme such as twenty-sixteen to see if the issue persists.
The next step would be to go through our testing for conflicts procedure and let us know what you find out.
Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is.
But, before you do that, there are 2 things I would advise:
- Make a backup of your database
- Consider activating a “Maintenance Page” plugin if you are doing this on your live site (to minimize impact on your visitors)
Let me know how that goes!
Thanks,
Jaime

Unfortunately, I did everything you said and nothing changed.
What is the next step?
Thank you very much!
August 24, 2018 at 3:30 am #1604802Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterThanks for running through those steps.
In other words, when you went to a default WordPress theme and no other plugins installed, you saw no change in the appearance of the Community Events Submission page?
Another option would be for you to install the third-party plugin, Health Check, which can mimic a bare WordPress install while your site visitors still see your site the way that it normally appears.
Can you send me a link to the page where you are seeing this issue?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime

If u want to be an administrator to make some changes, let me know and I will make you.
Thank you!
August 24, 2018 at 11:34 am #1605319Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterUnfortunately the log-in information did not work for me. Would you mind checking it again?
Also, can you confirm that when you went to a default WordPress theme and no other plugins installed, you saw no change in the appearance of the Community Events Submission page?
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
August 26, 2018 at 11:15 pm #1606330silviuParticipantYou were right, it’s a problem with that user, sorry. Please try the following user: [email protected] and password : 12345.
And yes, I confirm that when I go to a default WordPress theme and no other plugins installed, I saw no change in the appearance of the Community Events Submission page.
Thank you in advance.
August 27, 2018 at 6:02 am #1606464Jaime MarchwinskiKeymasterThanks for providing me with that information.
And where is your Community Events page located? The link you provided above is no longer working.
Let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime!
Thanks,
Jaime
