ParticipantInteresting issue… added some code for text and image to appear before the calendar in the Add HTML before event content section of the main calendar page. It is working fine on Safari and Firefox, but Chrome will not display ANY images put in code here. I have tried code as simple as:

Chrome puts this in the code:

No matter what code I put in this field to display an image, Chrome will not display anything put in the header section. It always ads display: none !important; to the code in html.
Any ideas?

MemberHi @clarity,
That’s very odd indeed!
I tried the following:
- Went into Events > Settings > Display
- Added content to the “Add HTML before event content” field (screenshot)
- Saved the settings
- Opened up Chrome (OSX)
- Viewed the calendar and an event post
- Confirmed that the content did display (screenshot)
Are you following the same steps, or is there something in there I could be missing?
If you are following the same steps, will you please follow the steps outlined in this article and let me know if it reveals a conflict?
Let’s start here and see what we find. 🙂
Thanks!

ParticipantGeoff,
Well, it appears it’s a Chrome issue. Every machine I tried, my mac, my windows 10 machine, other office macs and windows machines, Chrome had AdBlock turned on. With Adblock on, all of the images on this page do not show.
I solved the issue by turning AdBlock off in Chrome, but that kind of worries us as many people seem to have this turned on in their Chrome browser.
Any idea why Chrome is treating images on this page differently?

MemberHi @clarity, are the images somehow labeled or could be confused as ads? I’m not too sure how much influence we have on the behavior of AdBlock itself, but any content identified as an ad on the page whether it’s part of calendar or not will be impacted by ad blocking software. Your best bet would be make sure the content itself is less easily identified as advertising.
