Hi
For some reason the form for adding a new event looks odd, and even if you fill out the fields and click submit, the event isn’t created.
It looks like some resource is not loaded or blocked, but Chome Dev Tools doesn’t return any errors regard The Events Calendar (only two images that could not be found).
Please help
/Andreas

Can you start by going through our Testing for Conflicts Guide https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/testing-for-conflicts/?ย I am wondering if you might have a plugin or theme conflict.ย Begin by deactivating all other plugins, using a theme such as Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/, and see if the issue still persists.
Also, double check for any other updates available (Dashboard ยป Updates).ย
Please let me know if the issue still persists after these tests.
Thanks

In Twenty Seventeen with all plugins disabled the page still looks odd, but a different kind of odd, but at least the fields look right.
November 21, 2017 at 7:33 am #1388046CourtneyMemberHi Andreas
It looks like http://50aar.islandshest.dk/events/community/tilfoej is missing loading our javascript files. Is there a chance your site may be minifying our plugin scripts?
Thanks
Courtney ๐November 21, 2017 at 8:15 am #1388083mediegruppenParticipantThat is weird. THere is no optimization that is running currently on the site.
November 21, 2017 at 9:58 am #1388289CourtneyMemberCan you try setting up a freshly installed test site? Use Twenty Seventeen https://wordpress.org/themes/twentyseventeen/ and only add in The Events Calendar and Community Events plugins. If all looks right that way, slowly add in the remaining plugins or themes to see if any of them are possibly the issue.
Thanks
Courtney ๐November 21, 2017 at 10:43 am #1388350mediegruppenParticipantI am afraid I can’t do that, since I do not host my site myself.
I am guessing that the problem is that no of the javascript from Tribe plugins are loaded. The div with the ID tribe-events, even got a class called “tribe-no-js”
November 22, 2017 at 10:22 am #1389276CourtneyMemberIt is worth checking that when you go to Events ยป Settings ยป Community ยป Default status for submitted events.
The other areas to resolve will involve accessing the site with admin permissions.
Thanks
Courtney ๐November 22, 2017 at 10:40 am #1389289CourtneyMemberI suspect there is some additional issue beyond any problems introduced by your theme of choice.
Also, your theme is not ‘standards compliant’ – for example, it doesn’t add body classes which a) is a general no-no and b) on a practical level, some of our JS and CSS won’t work as expected as a result.
Are you able to attempt any changes on the live site?
Also, with https://local.getflywheel.com/ you can create a test site on your own computer, not needing hosting credentials for testing purposes.
Thanks
Courtney ๐November 29, 2017 at 10:31 am #1395113mediegruppenParticipantHi!
You are absolutely right about the body not having classes – I’ve added that now, and the css seems to be working correctly now – thanks for that ๐
But unfortunately, the javascript is still not working. Do you have any suggestions where to look for the error?
November 29, 2017 at 1:43 pm #1395259CourtneyMemberHi Andreas
I believe this is still related to issues with your theme. I’m wondering for instance if it includes a wp_footer() call (that would explain the missing assets. Can you check on that?
Thanks
Courtney ๐November 30, 2017 at 12:59 am #1395547mediegruppenParticipantThank you – that was exactly the issue!
November 30, 2017 at 4:37 am #1395630CourtneyMemberGlad to help Andreas. Is everything working now?
