Is there an easy way for anyone to access calendar to post new events in a simple way?

Hello Joani and welcome to the forums!

Yes, our Community Events add-on provides functionality for allowing people to submit events to your calendar. You can require people to be logged in to submit events and choose whether you want to moderate submissions before they are published.
