Abbreviate days without editing templates

Hi,

I have been looking at trying to abbreviate the days on the month view within mobile and i’ve having issues:

The first thing I notice is no native setting to be able to do this.

I’ve looked at this: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/change-the-days-of-the-week-to-abbreviations/
I don’t want to edit or override a template, I have to maintain this website so don’t want to have to check / update the template each time the events calendar updates.

I’ve tried this: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/abbreviate-days/
This works until you get into mobile mode, when you do it removes all the dates completely.

Can you please let me know how to achieve this using a code similar to this: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/abbreviate-days/

Can you share with me the url of the website where you are having the issue?

I just took a look at this on my test site and it works like this for me:

• on a desktop in month view I see full day names, like “Monday”
• on a desktop in responsive / mobile mode I see abbreviated day names like “Mon”
• on a mobile mode I see abbreviated day names like “Mon”

Hi,

It seems i’ve fixed it now, the plugin needed an update so I tried that, it still didn’t seem to work.
I then removed the code that I found and its now started to work properly.
