A specific post in an event category (6-8-years-old) creates conflicts on the website I am developing when that category is: called through a list view shortcode.

    It is happening here:
    http://www.parentjlbdev.net/growingkids/
On this page there is a list view shortcode that is expanding the container, disrupting css and js animations, and causing errors.

This doesn’t happen with any other category, It is not caused by any other shortcodes, or plugins, I’ve tested it.

The conflict may be with the theme.

I’m not sure which post it is:
    It could be:
    http://www.parentjlbdev.net/event/homeschool-p-e-class/2016-02-09/
    http://www.parentjlbdev.net/event/after-school-explorers/2016-02-09/
    http://www.parentjlbdev.net/event/kids-hour-2/
    http://www.parentjlbdev.net/event/tales-trails/2016-02-10/
    http://www.parentjlbdev.net/event/earth-lab/2016-02-10/

I know you don’t support this plugin when it comes to conflicts with the theme, but any advice is helpful.

Good evening Ken and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are sorry to hear about the conflict caused by certain posts.
We will gladly try to assist you on this topic.

As you stated, we cannot guarantee compatibility with themes (although we try our best to do so).

That being said, we still try our best to get our wonderful clients started on the right track to resolution 🙂

With that in mind, I have a couple questions for you (hopefully these will help):

    • Have you tried going through our testing for conflicts procedure (preferably in a staging/dev environment or local install of your WordPress website)? Let us know what you find out. Basically the goal here is to revert back to a bare WordPress installation to see if the problem persists. It also allows us to pinpoint what the cause of the issue is. In other words, I would make sure that the issue is indeed the theme you are working on before anything else. You might be surprised about what you find out.
    • If you don’t mind, could you also give us a bit more information about the template you are working on (in a private reply if you prefer) ? Is it made from scratch ? From a framework ?
    • I am not able to see any errors or layout issues in the list view of the page you sent. Could you please expand on that ?

    Have a great day!

I ended up using a different shortcode ( the calendar shortcode ) on that page becuase the list was creating the error.

I did try the procedure you suggested and it appears that:
on venus theme, with that specific event category those issues are occuring.
