Our calendar continues to be a disaster and it’s no longer working. we downgraded and have tried everything under the sun but here’s what our host says “Something is making the php process run for every new user and the old processes haven’t stopped, so right now you have about 16 visitors but the site is under the load of about 80”

We have 502-504 errors and as of about 10am today can no longer reach our event load page rendering the calendar useless for us and ultimately a major problem since the calendar is one of the most important parts of our whole website.

You guys gave us a list of developers to contact for help. So far one has contacted us back. That’s it. So we are losing faith in this and looking for new solutions. In the meantime we are in a bad way and really need help at least getting it so people can use the load an event tool on our website. Suggestions?

    Hi @hikeitbaby,

I’m really sorry for the continued frustration.

We want to help you – but we do depend on your cooperation to make that happen.

Very recently you reached out to us and Josh provided a number of action points to help us progress this further – can you confirm if you were able to move ahead with any of these?

    From that previous topic:

    • Try updating to the latest versions of our plugins. There have been some performance updates with the latest maintenance release that could potentially help.
    • Additionally, do you currently have any caching set up on your site? I see you’re not currently using the calendar view however, with the latest version of our plugin we do have built-in caching for that view which could help.
    • Finally, we would to get a database dump of the events on your site. We could use it to test and see where the issues are occurring when scaling.

It sounds like you may have downgraded, instead of upgrading. What versions did you downgrade to? Would you consider upgrading now (especially if you found the downgrade made no particular difference)?

I’d also love to know if you were able to set up caching and if you could describe the caching setup you put in place, but most critically we would really love to get a copy of your database to give us more insight into what you’re facing.

Are you able to facilitate that? Please do let us know if anything is unclear or you have further questions before proceeding.
