    Hi,

I have another issue on top of https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/hover-not-working-in-chrome/ I am afraid (still getting to grips with everything).

My category URLs work fine – yay! E.g. https://www.financialtrainingassociates.com/course/category/financial-modelling/ – all is good.

But, deleting the “financial modelling” part of the URL gives me a 404 error on the rest i.e. the category part. Is that normal? Is that what I should expect – or should it be going to something a bit ‘nicer’?

    Thanks again…

Good evening Mark and welcome back!

Thank you for reaching out to us.
I would love to help you with this topic.

The good news is that this is actually normal.
The “category” slug was not meant to work standalone.

Perhaps you could redirect that URL using a redirection plugin (to a page containing the list of event categories for example.

    I Hope this reassures you.

Let me know if that helps.

    Have a great day!
