Snke
Participanti updatetd the Events Calendar Plugin to the Version 3.12.1 and the Pro-Plugin to 3.12. Now, when i will view my calendar entrys in a week-view a 404-error appears (the url is http://www.avs-itzehoe.de/events/woche/). The month- or list-view works perfect. What is wrong?
Regards
Sönke

ParticipantThe url for “the next week” http://www.avs-itzehoe.de/events/woche/2015-09-14 works. Also the url
http://www.avs-itzehoe.de/events/week/ works, but not http://www.avs-itzehoe.de/events/woche/ (“woche” is the german word for “week”).Regards
Sönke

ParticipantHey @Sönke,
I’m really sorry you’re having trouble here!
I can’t recreate problems with the week view URL, so I’m curious if you have any plugins on your site that are translation-related? If so, try deactivating them and then see if that improves your URL problem at all.
If not, then I’m curious: how specifically have you made “week” become “woche”? What is the method you are using to translate that word?
In the meantime, if my first suggestion doesn’t help, then I’d also suggest you run through the 404-related troubleshooting steps here → https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/fixing-http-404-errors/
Your answers to my questions here and your results from doing these first two steps should give us a solid foundation for further troubleshooting – let me know what you find! 🙂
Thanks,

ParticipantHej George,
thank you for your reply. I think it is very curious, because with the version 3.11 the week view works fine. Then i updated to 3.12 and the 404-error occours. No other plugins are installed orany translations. I never do anny translations. With the installations of 3.11 all terms are german – what is fine. The url “http://www.avs-itzehoe.de/events/monat/” works (“monat” is the german word for “month”).
Courios is also that the url for “the next week” “http://www.avs-itzehoe.de/events/woche/2015-09-14” works.
I tried out the 404-related troubleshootings steps, but that did not solve the problem 🙁
Regards,
Sönke

ParticipantHey @Sönke,
I’m sorry that issues persist here!
Just curious – are you creating these translated URLs with “woche” via the WPML plugin? If not, how are you making the URL display as /woche instead of /week?

ParticipantHej George,
no, i never do any translations. i also don’t installed the wpml-plugin 🙁 are there any other possibilities to solve the 404-error?

Sönke

ParticipantHowdy Sonke,
Thanks for providing all of the details. Upon further investigation we were able to find a bug in our code related to this. We are set to patch it very soon, possible as soon as Monday in a 3.12.2 release.
I have added your topic to our internal tracker, you should be notified when the fix is ready for release.
Please let us know if you have any questions. Cheers!

ParticipantHey Sönke,
Just confirming Brook’s notes here – I’m really sorry that we have to wait for an update at this time! Thanks for being patient with us.
Is there anything else I can help with in the meantime while we wait for the update? Let me know!
Thanks,

ParticipantHello. I would like to add that I too am having this problem. I’m using the same versions of WP and The Events Calendar as Sönke. My website is in French. We do not use translations and, until recently, the week view was working and now it isn’t. I have gone through the troubleshooting procedure – put on TwentyThirteen and deactivated the plugins but to no avail. I also looked through the translation to see if there was an issue that that checked out ok too. The week view isn’t working anywhere – not with the standard “events/week” or “events/category/event/week”. The french version would be “evenement/semaine”.
Thank you in advance for your help. Love this plugin!!

ParticipantThanks for your input here Nadia, I’m really sorry that these issues have affected you, too! We’re working hard on this update and should have it ready for release – hopefully! – by sometime next week.
Stay tuned! We’re working to get this out as soon as possible and it should hopefully fix these issues.
Thanks,
