GuestHi,
I’ve downloaded and installed the free version of TEC in my WordPress site, with the Enfold theme by Kriesi.at. A few questions:
(1) The events calendar looks odd. Particularly the “Find Events” and “View As” boxes. See:
http://centerforworldmusic.org/events/
Is there a way to fix this?
(2) We need an archive of past events, in reverse chronological order, for grant-writing purposes. Is this possible?
(3) The other pages on the site have a right sidebar. Is it possible to include this on the events (either list, or individual event, or both) with TEC?
Thanks! Lance

ParticipantHey Lance,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
Unfortunately I’m not able to provide too much support for the free plugin here in the Pre-sales forums but hopefully I can help to get you pointed in the right direction. If you would like further support for the free plugin, you can try reaching out to our community on our WordPress.org forum.
- There are occasionally some styling issues that can arise with different themes. In this case, it appears that there may be additional wrapper classes needed for styling that aren’t getting included on the Events Calendar templates. You can try changing the default template within the Events Settings > Display tab to see if this helps.
- By default, we have a single view for past events. You can see this by clicking the “Previous Events” button on the list view of the calendar. If you would like something displayed differently, you would need to create a custom loop and template for that display
- This is similar to the solution in #1 above. You can possibly get different layouts by using different default template.
Let me know if this helps.
Thanks!

GuestThanks, Josh.
I’m not so much trying to get support for the free plugin as trying to figure out if it is worth my while purchasing the paid version. I’m happy to purchase TEC, but like some assurance that will work with my theme. I’m also trying to find out whether or not it requires more technical knowledge to implement than I possess.
You say, “You can try changing the default template within the Events Settings > Display tab.” I don’t see any option there for doing this. Do you mean that I should try customizing the theme by inserting custom html?

ParticipantHey Lance,
No problem.
For most themes, our plugin works right out of the box. Occasionally there are themes that have different layouts or structures that don’t always play well but can usually be adjusted to work. I did some research and it appears that there was an update to the Enfold theme that for some reason impacted the display of the template option which should look like https://cloudup.com/cXLNKFbD-jb on the Event Settings > Display tab.
Take a look at the linked thread and see if that helps to get the option for the template showing. If it does, try a different template to see if that gives a more desirable layout for the default events display.
Thanks!

GuestWe are currently looking at incorporating the WooCommerce tickets into a site for a client. I am curious about the amount for yearly renewals. Your your page states renewal cost will be discounted, what is the cost for renewal for the personal WooCommerce Tickets plugin? We would like to inform the client as completely as possible concerning recurring costs associated with their site.
We are currently running on a Genesis framework and using The Events Calendar plugin, are there any known bugs concerning the integration of WooCommerce Tickets with Genesis?
Since we will be using WooCommerce to manage payment via Paypal I am addressing the security issue of keeping plugins updated to sell the client on the recurring cost. Any arguments or sales points you can contribute to my campaign will be greatly appreciated.
In advance thank you for you time and attention to these issues.
Best regards,
Jaime Williams

ParticipantHey Jaime,
Thanks for reaching out to us!
I’ll address some of your concerns briefly here. It is best to open a new ticket since the concerns here differ from the original poster and having your own ticket will allow us to continue to address each user fully.
The renewal comes with a 30% discount. Additionally, there aren’t any conflicts with the Genesis Framework. I believe there are some potential layout issues depending on configurations but these can be overcome relatively simply. Just do a quick search of our forums for Genesis and you should be able to find all the information you need.
I’ll go ahead and close this thread for now. If you have any follow up, please open a new support thread.
Thanks!
