ParticipantWhile reactivating the plugins after trying your suggestions I noticed that the ECP plugin was not active. Not sure how it was turned off but that was the problem. Sorry for wasting your time, but I do appreciate your help.

ParticipantFeature request— Based the needs of our clients we would like to see ‘Next Month’ and ‘Previous Month’ links added to the mini cal. I’ve used ECP for two client projects with another one coming up, and every one of those clients has felt it important to be able to navigate the sidebar’s mini cal.

ParticipantThat did it, quick and easy, thanks Jonah. That should be it for this project, the new site is almost ready to go live.
I would like to request that you consider adding ‘Next Month” and ‘Previous Month’ links that would change the display of mini cal to a future upgrade. I’ve used ECP for two client projects with another one coming up, and so far all have wanted to be able to navigate the mini cal.
Thanks again. ECP is an awesome plugin that I look forward to working with more in the future. And I appreciate the great support I’ve received from both you and Rob.
Take care, Tom

ParticipantHey Jonah. No, neither issue has been resolved yet, and to answer Rob’s question; yes, I’m running 2.0.4 for both plugins. But I don’t think this is going to be a big deal because I’m linking directly to the calendar page. My second concern though I would like to take care of… how do I add a ‘Next Month’ link to the side bar’s mini cal? Thanks.

ParticipantPerfect! That did it. The latest releases fixed the nav bar display problem in Headway. Thanks Rob. Thanks Jonah. I appreciate all your help and patience.
I have a couple of other questions for you but I’m going to open a new ticket.
Thanks again, Tom

ParticipantJonah,
Yes, still displaying the words “Calendar of Events” for all menu items in the main navbar. So the last beta you sent was the final version of 2.0.4? Also, did you see the my question in my email? The only files in the most recent beta you sent were for EC only… there was no ECP. Is that all I needed?
Thanks, Tomttrusty
ParticipantHi Jonah
I’m using Headway 3.0.4. The template options was already set to Default Page. I tried Default Event but no luck. Let me know about the beta copy.
Thanks, Tom

ParticipantJonah,
No luck on the nav bar. I upgraded both EC and ECP to 2.0.4 but the menu still displays the words “Calendar of Events”instead of displaying the actual navigation link names. Any ideas?
Thanks, Tom

ParticipantGreat. Thanks Jonah.

ParticipantHey Guys,
I’ve looked around your site for info on upgrading and couldn’t find anything. Is there anything special I need to consider when upgrading from 2.0.3 to the 2.0.4 beta that you gave me?
Thanks, Tom

ParticipantPerfect! Thanks Jonah, that did it.
Question for future use — this is the first time I’ve used the ECP plugin with the Headway theme. Was that the reason for the display problem?
Also, the navbar displays the page title “Calendar of Events” in both Event List view or Calendar view, instead of displaying the real navigation link name for all the navbar items. Is that something you can help me with?
Thanks again, Tom

ParticipantHey Rob. Yes I’m using Headway but a newer version than was discussed in the post you refered me to… 3.0.4 with WP 3.3.1., and when I revert back to the 2011 theme both problems go away.
I’m building a new site for a client but the WP portion of the new site is online at http://www.quiltbeginnings.com/qbits/?post_type=tribe_events. I can give you and Jonah admin access but prefer not to post it here. Is there an email address I can send it to?

ParticipantHey Rob, Thanks for getting back to me.
You can view a screenshot here: http://cl.ly/3J0F0H3J3o1Y1Z471t3E
Note that I removed the heading that normally appears directly above the calendar, and that the problem existed before I removed it.
While I have you, notice that there is something also wrong with the navbar. The links are correct (meaning they take users to the correct pages) but the text for each link has been replaced with the words “Calendar of Events’. It displays this way whether viewing the ‘Calendar’ or the ‘Event List’. And again it was this way before I removed the calendar heading.
Appreciate the help, Tom

ParticipantLet me try explaining this again.
At the top of the page that the calendar is displayed on instead of the navigation links for the months displaying like this…
they display like this…
I’ve examined the code with Firebug, even making some changes to the CSS to find the source of the problem, but no luck. I’ve used ECP once before on another client’s site and didn’t have this problem.
Has anyone seen this before?
Thanks, Tom

ParticipantThanks guys. Looking forward.
By the way, our client loves what she can do with ECP it’s changing the way she has handled events in the past and, after a brief learning curve, is making her life (and ours) a whole lot easier.
Great job on the plugin, Tom
