Hi Barry,
Thanks for the response. Good idea, that’s exactly what I did yesterday afternoon:
ID, false, ‘Y-m-d’);?>
Now I’ve got to get around to actually updating to the latest version of the calendar.
Sean
SeanParticipantGreat, I can’t wait
SeanParticipantI’ll do that, thanks.
SeanParticipantHey Jonah,
Here’s an example:
Clicking on the url for today’s event leads to a ‘this event has passed’ post
Sean
SeanParticipantThanks for your response, Jonah. This stuff is giving me a headache 🙂
Here’s my snippi:

for some reason, once I use tribe_get_events, the category is no longer honored:

SeanParticipantUpdate, the tribe_get_events does work with query_posts. It does honor the category and it does order correctly. What doesn’t work is the start date part, the query returns all events in April, starting on the 1st. Damn! so close. Any ideas?
Sean
SeanParticipantJonah,
Good to know, I thought it might just be me. Looking forward to the fix.
Sean
SeanParticipantCancel this, I found the solution here:
https://github.com/scribu/wp-posts-to-posts/issues/249
According to codearachnid,
“I ran into an interesting DB error:
WordPress database error: [Operand should contain 1 column(s)]
upon further review it turns out that the bug was being created by another plugin, Tri.be’s The Event Calendar (side note: which I’m a dev for). We are doing a major overhaul of our plugin’s query structure that will fix this issue down the line. In the interest of suggesting a clean way to prevent this from happening to older versions of our plugin or other plugins that might be cluttering WP_Query with custom fields, I submit this simple filter to ensure the nested select only has 1 column.”
Will this be cleaned up in the future?

SeanParticipantI fixed it! ’twas my fault, my content-rsslink file was poorly coded. Still not sure where the conflict with ‘post 2 post’ is coming from or how to fix that. If I remove the calendar template tags, then the code for my related posts works. Please see other thread.

SeanParticipantsure, here is the entire template:
Sorry for the poorly formed code, I’m still learning and need to review the wordpress coding standards again.

SeanParticipantI figured out what was going on, I’m using Pippin’s Easy Custom Content Types and had to add my custom post types to the index using this code:
http://pastebin.com/PepYeke6I just forgot to include tribe_events in the list of post types. I works splendidly now. Thanks for the response.
Sean
SeanParticipantNever mind, I figured it out. I received the message because I failed to add my lic. # in the plugin settings. I just jumped right in w/out reading the instructions, again.
