    Thanks for your reply –
We would like to keep the other one – all our events are here
there are quite a few -so redoing them into another events system would tiresome.

hi, Cliff thanks for swift reply.

I’m already using Dropbox – but don’t I need to invite you to share the folder with my DB?
ie – I need an email address of some sort. – OR you must invite me.?

    Hi, Cliff –

Thanks heaps for getting back to me.

Unfortunately I did not get the email below.

However – thank for your time in recording the demo – specially for me.

Having gone through it all once more – in detail – what happens the demo
all goes pear-shaped from the, ‘get-go’ as they say,
    in my set up.

    My Comments
    1) Using the “Events” icon as you do in your demo – I don’t get an option to “Add New” event
    2) I CAN “add New” from my own Event Plugin..

    NOTE: Permalink: : http://dwcatest04.onlinewebshop.net/events/02-test/

    3) After Saving the ticket I don’t get the message “Your Ticket has been Saved” or the next three lines naming the Ticket –etc.

    – SO –
    – I follow all the steps –
    – BUT –

My Final Event has no mention of a ticket.

SO – I don’t get to anything remotely resembling your “ticket” screen (as in the Demo)

I think the problem MUST lie in the fact that there’s some form of conflict between
the Event Manager we’re using and the one that comes with Event Ticketing Plus

    Regards Roger
(BTW – How do I enter screen shot or send a file?)

Hi, since I’ve not heard anything back (from my query, above) I’ve decided to ditch this product. Therefore, can you please arrange for my refund to be paid back into my Visa card account.
With much regret (& thanks for your help Cliff)

    Hi, Cliff

thanks for your reply – and persistence!

Took a look at the video (no sound?)
The very thing I wanted to see happen is not shown – the demonstrator “cheats” by using the Permalink.
(incidentally – the demo doesn’t correspond to version of Events Plus 4.0.4 that I’m using)
OK let me explain what I want to see happen.

    Ticket Creator Actions
    1) We set up an event ticket – either via (eg) Events, Products.
    2) Options available – eg (as follows)
The ticket has several prices for the same event.
    Text about the event/pictures/Venue – maps/address

    Customer (purchaser)
    3) On the LIVE Website the customer has some sort of VISIBILITY of this Ticket eg:
    (in a menu/product WPEC-shop/option)
    a) as a PRODUCT in the WPEC Shop
or b) as an event ticket
    c) menu option
    4) The customer can
    c) select which ticket option he/she wants from the various ticket prices –
    d) Then decide to purchase this ticket (button > proceed to checkout)
    5) They then go to a “product” type screen where
    e) they enter things like name/address/email
    6) They can elect to purchase the ticket and > Shopping Cart>Confirmation
    f) the ticket can be paid for via (say) one of the Shop payment methods,
    Paypal for example.
    7) a confirmation email is sent to the customer showing appropriate details of
their purchase (which they can print out)
    8) Notification of the purchase can be determined by whoever set up
(or is nominated for this) the ticket in the first place.

    Things I don’t understand
    9) Setting up a ticket with multiple prices (you can set it up but you can’t SEE the optional prices)
    10) can’t find the link between the 2 & 3 above.
    11) none of actions #3 to #8 seem to exist. (well – I can’t make it work)

I would have thought that if the plugin works with WPEC the ticket would turn up as a PRODUCT
In the WPEC shop which can be purchased like any other product in the shop.

    Does this help?

    Best Regards
    Roger

Well, I give up – you win – I’ve spent most of today trying to work it out BUT – for the life of me – I simply cannot fathom how a Ticket gets into WPEC.
My reasoning – which may be completely wrong is that
    1) I find an event that I want to have tickets for
    2) I edit this so that it has tickets set up in it {tick the box that says WPEC} (this part – sort of works – but doesn’t register the ticket price properly – but that’s just a side issue)
    3) I save it. Now – where does that even/ticket go? – how does it get associated with WPEC.
I would expect -that if I go to the Shop – there’s be an item in there which referred to the ticket I’d just set up.
    4) From there a prospective customer can choose which ticket option they want, and then purchase it, just like a normal product.

If you like I can give you admin access to this test website – there’s nothing of any value in it.

    Cheers

    Hi, Cliff,

    Thanks again for swift reply.
    I think I’ve cracked it!
The Ticket is entered as a PRODUCT in WPEC – is that correct?

I’ve still got a minor irk – it keeps saying product price is $00
Please keep this query open for a bit longer –
I’ll let you know how I go.

In the meantime – thanks for your kind cooperation so far.

    Cheers
    Roger

Thanks, Cliff, for your prompt reply, however, I have set up the tickets, as you described – no problem, BUT
how do customers ACTUALLy buy them once they’re set up. I can see nothing in WPEC which refers to these tickets.
Where does the customer go to ticket access the ticket purchasing options on the Website?
It’s not in the shop, it’s not under events, it’s not in products.
    Thanks.
    Roger
