Yes, that’s exactly what I mean.

With contributor driven websites with a lot of events and content these ideas will definitely help those people maintain their understanding of what’s current, pending, draft, etc.

And when events have passed shouldn’t they automatically be moved to a cue where they’re not seen in the current events cue?

Yes I can and know to resort the dates. However the client who has around average knowledge of these things contacted me immediately this morning with confusion and frustration. She’s already caused issues by making changes to the events and not applying them across ALL RECURRING EVENTS.

I’m speaking from the point of view from a person that is more of a website contributor than a developer (like myself). Developers will figure this stuff out. Contributors will not.

One single item for recurring events will result in a much better overall experience for people.

I would definitely appreciate the change and I know my client would too. I imagine she’ll acclimate to the system or not.

The other issue with this is the default sorting in the Events tab (Dashboard) is later dates starting first. So when I look at events that are scheduled, I’m seeing events for 2013 first sorting to current dates last.

I think for the sake of keeping people organized this should be set to the opposite as a default. Where events that are happening currently are being show in the events list first. I looked to see if there is an option to change this (as a default) and there isn’t. This would also help.
