Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be float, string given in /home2/gaybarce/public_html/gayrome4u/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/common/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php on line 110
December 10, 2017 at 7:14 am in reply to: Warning: number_format() expects parameter 1 to be float, #1402389Keith O ReillyParticipantI did a manual update to the latest version of pro – for some reason there was son error on the automatic one.
Download failed. cURL error 61: Unrecognized content encoding type. libcurl understands deflate, gzip content encodings.
The manual update to the latest version fixed the issue.
Keith O ReillyParticipantFor the Description element, is there any additional code I need to add to get it to play nice with Yoast, as it doesn’t seem to show the meta description from the snippet I added.
Keith O ReillyParticipantI updated both plugins and the latest version of WordPress and the issue has been resolved.
Keith O ReillyParticipantSorry, for some reason it is stripping out the error causing code in the forum, I have attached a screen shot of what is being shown in the meta description.
Keith O ReillyParticipantSerpstat looked at the page and told me to view the source
If you go to any of the organiser pages,
eg http://www.gayberlin4u.com/organizer/chantal/
And view the source code, you will see the broken links being generated, but I am not sure how this is happening?
<!– Organizer Meta –>
<address class=”organizer-address”><span class=”link”> https://www.facebook.com/ChantalsHouseofShame/“>https://www.facebook.com/ChantalsHouseofShame/ </span></address>Keith O ReillyParticipantHi Barry,
Yes, I cant seem to find it either. As per one example, it tells me:
2 http://www.gayberlin4u.com/organizer/chantal/https:/www.facebook.com/ChantalsHouseofShame/ 404 1but I can’t seem to find any http:/ missing an extra “/”
I have reached out to the Serpstat, but maybe the above info might give you some idea?
Keith
Keith O ReillyParticipantYes, that seems to be working. Thanks for your assistance.
Keith O ReillyParticipantHello,
Sorry, I am not a programmer, but following the logic of the Title code, I changed it and added it as two separate lines, so I have the Title code and then added this for the Description code
/* Tribe, add event date to Yoast Seo title */ function tribe_add_date_to_metadesc( $metadesc ) { if( !class_exists('Tribe__Events__Main') || !is_singular( Tribe__Events__Main::POSTTYPE ) ) return $metadesc; // tribe_get_start_time docs https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_get_start_date/ return $metadesc . ' ' . tribe_get_start_date( null, true, 'M,j,Y', null ); } add_filter('wpseo_metadesc', 'tribe_add_date_to_title');
It is working, but I am not sure if this is the most efficient way of doing it?
Keith O ReillyParticipantHi Victor, Thanks for your advice,
I am already using that snippet to add the date into the Meta Title, so I would need to edit that code to add the date to the description also? I tried adding afer wpseo_title but it gave me an error. How do I add it so the date appears in the Meta Title and Meta description?
/* Tribe, add event date to Yoast Seo title */ function tribe_add_date_to_title( $title ) { if( !class_exists('Tribe__Events__Main') || !is_singular( Tribe__Events__Main::POSTTYPE ) ) return $title; // tribe_get_start_time docs https://theeventscalendar.com/function/tribe_get_start_date/ return $title . ' ' . tribe_get_start_date( null, true, 'M,j,Y', null ); } add_filter('wpseo_title', 'wpseo_metadesc', 'tribe_add_date_to_title');
Warning: call_user_func_array() expects parameter 1 to be a valid callback, function ‘wpseo_metadesc’ not found or invalid function name in /home2/gaybarce/public_html/gayberlin4u/wp-includes/class-wp-hook.php on line 298
Keith O ReillyParticipantWhen I click on “metaboxes” on the back end of Easy Content Types, the error occurs.
Other options however remain unaffected.Here is a link to the plugin file

Thank you for your response. I tried what you suggested, but unfortunately, it made no difference.
Any other suggestion?Keith
Keith O ReillyParticipantThe error appears on the log on occasions when the people visit an individual event.
The 500 error appears when I try to enter the “Metaboxes” section of the the back end of the custom post types plugin.
