ParticipantDuh! Must have deactivated when I updated and then I didn’t notice. Rookie error, sorry about that!

ParticipantHi Geoff – it’s sorted! I did the rollback to 4.0.7 and this did not fix anything. I also deactivated other plugins and still nothing. Finally, I thought I’d check the widget containers and found that they were all empty. The update must have somehow stripped them all out. So, I updated back to 4.1 and added the widgets back to where they needed to be. That was all it was!
Thanks for all your efforts and if you see this come up again, that’s where to start!

ParticipantHi Geoff
I haven’t deactivated anything. If there’s something in the code that shouldn’t be, it’s been added with the 4.1 update. I tried switching to the Twenty-fifteen theme, but that didn’t fix the issue. There are indeed some customizations, which I received via Events Calendar support and I suppose this may be causing the issues. I’m happy to go ahead and update this if you can spot something that isn’t right.

ParticipantActually, none of the widgets on my site are there anymore!

ParticipantCustom CSS worked great, thanks Cliff!

ParticipantHey Cliff – Thanks for your assistance with this. I tried the things you said and found no change. However, when I tried a different category, it worked fine. I realized there must be an issue with the races category specifically. Guess I should have tried this before! Anyway, as it turns out, the past events in the races category had somehow had their category removed. I’m not sure how that happened, but of course, when I added the category back and revisited the URL, the past events were showing as expected. So, my bad I guess. Nothing wrong with the Events Calendar this time!

ParticipantI’m experiencing the same issue with the sidebar widget. I have not selected ‘Organizer’ as a displayable option, yet the organizers are being displayed. You can see it on the following page in the right sidebar:

ParticipantThanks Brook, that did the trick! Happy holidays!

ParticipantJust as an additional note – in Chrome, I can see the calendar there for a moment, until the page finishes loading, then it disappears. Don’t see anything at all when I’m working in Safari.

ParticipantHey Barry – That absolutely does work, thank you so much!

ParticipantHi Barry – I’m not sure when it started to be honest as I took my original site down for a while. I’ve now rebuilt it, using the same theme etc, but the Disqus plugin no longer works. I’ve actually tried another plugin called wpDiscuz, which upgrades the native comment form. It doesn’t work in the events either, although it does leave the original comment form intact. With Disqus, the original form is replaced with the Comments are closed message.
I checked the page template and it was using the default one. I tried changing it to the other ones, but that did nothing to help.
