This issue is probably resolved. Turns out there was a subdomain (events.nybc.net) set up on the hosting server that was causing a conflict.

Nope. Still broken. I tried deleting the .htaccess file and creating a new one, emptying and resetting permalinks and the issue still came back.
If we cannot get this fixed, we will have to use a different calendar product. If it comes to this, are we eligible for a refund for Pro and Community add-ons?

Just to clarify. We do not get a ‘Page not found’ or a 404 page. Instead, it just says “Index of/events” and then shows a link to ‘Parent Directory.’ What is causing the directory ‘events’ to be created? I delete it and it is back a few days or hours later…

We built this site in a subdirectory and I do not think the issue existed before moving the site to the root directory. We used Velvet Blues Update to change URL’s. Not sure if that might have done anything. I have also deleted and re-installed both Events Calendar and Events Calendar Plugin. Nothing seems to work…

There is a .htaccess in the root directory and the permissions are set to be writable. I have deactivated all plugins and the issue remains. Any other ideas? It is currently broken. If I delete the ‘Events’ directory it starts working again, but then it breaks shortly thereafter.

It’s happening again. I tried resetting permalinks and no change. I tried deactivating every plug-in, one at a time, and still no go. I have no idea why this keeps happening intermittently. Please help. If we cannot get this figured out, we will have to use a different calendar product….
