So the only way is to do everything through the WP dashboard? If I try to delete more than one at a time I get an error.
nothingtodoParticipantIt’s not trashed. I have better luck doing them one by one…. but I have thousands.
Is there a way for me to go in through ftp and take out old events that way?nothingtodoParticipantThanks. Unfortunately when I try to delete old events I get “error moving to trash”. Do you know why that might be?
nothingtodoParticipantI’ll give it a try. I only need to get rid of the recurring events which have decided to spawn and clog things up but with luck this will work.
nothingtodoParticipantIf I try to remove the recurring events I get an “error moving to trash” message. And I have over 400 pages of recurring events so it’s a pretty big job deleting all of them.
nothingtodoParticipantOh, bummer.
I get the 505 when I try to edit recurring events (just recurring ones). It’s a bit of a problem because they are totally clogging up my calendar due to some glitch with the calendar that balks at the number of recurring events I have. So I can’t fix the problem because I can’t edit or delete the events.nothingtodoParticipantYou can close it out, thanks!
nothingtodoParticipantI had my host shut the plugin off but I can’t access my dashboard this time.
The support person I communicated with today was much more friendly and helpful and he gave me an actual error that seems to be causing the issues.
This is the exact error its throwing now:

Bluehost deactivated the plugin and I could get back in but without a calendar my site is basically useless so I turned it back on. Now I can’t get into my site but at least any visitors will see something rather than nothing.
nothingtodoParticipantDon’t get me started on the customer service I get from my hosts. They asked what happened before I was locked out of the admin panel and I said I had updated the plugin so they assumed that was the problem. They didn’t have any information but I did save the error log if that would help.
I have a lot of recurring events. Maybe 25 – 30% of my events are recurring. That’s what tipped me off to needing an update. I saw that my recurring events were posted multiple times.
I don’t know why I posted this in the EDD Tickets area! Oops. -
