Thanks Brian and Oboston. Unfortunately that didn’t work for my site and I’ve stuck with default permalinks for now. Have been in touch with the developer and will post back if there’s any news. Thanks.

Hi oboston. That link with the date works but my new organiser and venue pages show up as ‘not found’ and there’s no date associated with them. In fact, it looks like my venue pages redirect to the event pages (http://msand.org.au/venue/test-3/). Thanks for the extra detail! A developer suggested a modification to the permalinks which just makes all the event links use default permalinks while the rest of the site uses postnamed permalinks. Hopefully there’s a simpler solution.
