So I disabled all plugins and still had the same problem. Reverted back to Twenty Eleven as the theme, but had no luck. I did a little more research on the PHP error and discovered that The Community add-on had the same issue with WordPress version 3.5. I discovered I was using an old version of Community, version 1.01 instead of the latest 1.05 which I thought I had. Downloaded and installed the latest version and it worked. No plugin or theme conflicts. Lesson learned. Double check those version numbers and stop working after midnight.

I’ve figured out that it’s related to the date format in the wordpress general settings. I need my posts to be in the format e.g. December 2012, so I have the date format set as F Y. Is there any way to change the date format in The Events Calendar?
