I have Events Calendar Pro installed and working flawlessly within WordPress 3.5.1. I installed the Community Events add-on last night and it caused the white screen of death effect to occur on the front end of the web site. The admin dashboard was fine. My error logs have the following fatal error when Community events is activated:

[Fri Feb 15 03:17:59 2013] [error] [client 71.192.231.217] The Events Calendar Log: Initializing Tribe Events on Feb, 15th at 03:02:59 am
[Fri Feb 15 03:17:59 2013] [error] [client 71.192.231.217] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined method stdClass::in_admin() in /nas/wp/www/cluster-1044/mhcalumnae/wp-includes/load.php on line 587

The fatal error repeats itself numerous times.

I have not yet deactivated all other plugins or reverted back to the 2011 default theme yet, but wanted to know if anyone had a clue as to what might be causing this error or had seen something like it. My searches in the forum did not turn anything up yet that was similar.

    Ed,
Thanks for reaching out and sorry to hear about this issue you’re having. Would you mind deactivating all other plugins and reverting back to the 2011 theme to see if this fixes the issue? Then we can hopefully narrow down the cause. Thanks!

So I disabled all plugins and still had the same problem. Reverted back to Twenty Eleven as the theme, but had no luck. I did a little more research on the PHP error and discovered that The Community add-on had the same issue with WordPress version 3.5. I discovered I was using an old version of Community, version 1.01 instead of the latest 1.05 which I thought I had. Downloaded and installed the latest version and it worked. No plugin or theme conflicts. Lesson learned. Double check those version numbers and stop working after midnight.

    Ed,
Great! Glad to hear you got this sorted out. Unless you disagree, I’m going to mark this thread “Answered” and close it out.

We really appreciate your support and please let us know if you need anything else in the future. If you find yourself with a few minutes and would be so kind as to give us a “Works” rating or a positive star voting on the WordPress.org repo (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/the-events-calendar/), or even a shoutout to your followers on Facebook or Twitter, it would mean a lot to us. Thanks again for using the plugin.
