(Because I need that code to prevent non-registered users from viewing much of the members-only content).
January 15, 2017 at 11:09 am in reply to: Passed events appearing as "Upcoming" — but only for non-admins #1218802Sean SullivanParticipantLooks like I’ve found the issue. Removing this code from my functions.php file did the trick:
add_action( 'pre_get_posts', 'my_pre_get_posts' ); function my_pre_get_posts( $query ) { // Bail if current user can restrict content or edit other users' posts. if ( current_user_can( 'restrict_content' ) || current_user_can( 'edit_others_posts' ) ) return; if ( is_user_logged_in() ) { $user = new WP_User( get_current_user_id() ); $meta_query = array( 'relation' => 'OR', array( 'key' => '_members_access_role', 'compare' => 'NOT EXISTS', ), array( 'key' => '_members_access_role', 'value' => $user->roles[0], 'compare' => '=' ) ); } else { $meta_query = array( array( 'key' => '_members_access_role', 'compare' => 'NOT EXISTS' ) ); } $query->set( 'meta_query', $meta_query ); }
Any idea why the conflict is there?

Sean SullivanParticipantI’m also seeing this issue. The TEC developer’s code isn’t making a difference on my site.
Using 4.2.1 across the board.
June 14, 2016 at 9:50 am in reply to: Since 4.2, "Organizer is required" — but it’s already filled out. #1126812Sean SullivanParticipantYou nailed it, George! (You can make your reply public if you’re able.)
Here was the offending snippet. I commented out the Organizer line and that solved the problem:
// Add required fields to community calendar add_filter( 'tribe_events_community_required_fields', 'my_community_required_fields', 10, 1 ); function my_community_required_fields( $fields ) { $fields = array( 'post_title', 'post_content', // 'EventCost', // 'EventCurrencySymbol', // 'EventURL', // '_ecp_custom_2', 'EventStartDate', 'venue', // 'organizer', // 'event_image', ); return $fields; }
I would like to keep that field mandatory, though. Is there a better way to achieve this?

June 13, 2016 at 9:14 am in reply to: Find $post_id to add post_excerpt on Tickets email (email.php) #1126166Sean SullivanParticipantHi George,
Thanks for the reply. I understand the support limitations — I just find it never hurts to ask, as you sometimes have code snippets or easy answers on hand. The worst you can say is no, right? 🙂
It’s this one:
>> are you trying to show the excerpt of the event/post type the ticket belongs to?
Really, I’m looking for the simplest way to get more information on the ticket itself. I had thought about creating an “extra information” custom metabox to go along with the post, but then I’d still have the same problem of pulling that info. I thought the post_excerpt would be the most straightforward way to go about it.
Others on the forum have asked similar questions, so I’m sure it’s a bit of support that would be relevant to and worthwhile for the community.
Thanks again.
Sean SullivanParticipantHi George,
I did a bad job explaining myself.
I’m only seeking to update the inline CSS styles, e.g., the font-family and font-size attributes.
Sean SullivanParticipantHey @danfeeley, I’ve been looking for something like this. Thank you!
May 2, 2016 at 7:41 am in reply to: No custom fields showing / JS error: "TypeError: ticket is undefined" #1109511Sean SullivanParticipantAha, resolved my issue.
It was the wootickets/tickets.php file in my theme’s /tribe-events folder.
I had customized the template file, which had been updated.
Moving the latest file into my /tribe-events folder and re-customizing it solved the issue.

Sean SullivanParticipantIt’s been a bug since the release (I’m also waiting). Maybe you should remove the option from the Tickets settings page and just implement the functionality when it’s ready?
