Hey Casey,
Yeah – the default theme does have the widget work – though the theme hasn’t changed from the dev version form the live. Can you point me to what’s changed in the update that might be conflicting?
Also – I was told a while ago that a upcoming update would be updating the calendar widget to work like the demo one does, where you click an event and are brought to it instead of loading event info below it, do you know if that’s still in the works?
Cheers,
DanjocwebsitesParticipantHey,
So I’ve run into some other issues and I’m really hoping for some help. My main preference would be to get my calendar widget working like it does in the demo, where you click a date in the calendar and it brings you to the event page.
However, trying to do a work-around, I set the number of events displayed to 0 however the event list still displays and shows whatever page you’re currently on in place of the event.
This is also causing a conflict with another plugin “Favorites” where no matter what page you’re on, instead of the page it “favorites” the event. The event URL seems to be kind of taking over everything.
I need to deliver this site tonight so I’m really hoping someone can help.
jocwebsitesParticipantHey Barry,
Thanks for the info. I think i’ll just leave it with the events displaying for now, and when the update comes along we can decide which way we want to go with it.
Much appreciated.
Cheers
jocwebsitesParticipantHey Barry,
I didn’t realize that the widget didn’t do this function by default. Is there any way to just have the calendar widget displayed, and have a user click on a date with an event to load the event page without it showing the dates underneath?I mean, instead of having it show the events under the widget, it just links to the event?
Cheers
jocwebsitesParticipantHey,
Hah, nevermind, just realized the same php time and date formats bring up the time. 🙂
jocwebsitesParticipantHey Barry,
That’s pretty much it exactly, thanks so much. Im going to look through the docs for the start and end time as well, but if someone happens to know them off-hand, let me know, I’d appreciate it.
Cheers,
jocwebsitesParticipantHey Barry,
Thanks, this does help. The code you posted is what I was trying to post. I looked through the themers guide but couldnt find the code to produce the specific information like date, day and time. Is that available there and I just missed it? I’ll have another look but if you know offhand that’d be helpful.
Cheers,
DanjocwebsitesParticipantHey Julie,
Thanks for the response. Can you tell me what browser this is? I’m using Chrome and it’s acting a bit different (acting the same both on the homepage and /events).Today when I tried it it’s doing the same behavior but now showing the 5th so it seems to be linking to todays date regardless of which event you hover over. When I click it brings me to the full event, and then when I hover you’re right, it does show the next day.
It’s pretty weird. Any ideas?
