Thanks Geoff, for the info about how the system stores a “note” so that deleted events are not re-imported. … I have downloaded the plugin you recommended and think I can figure this part out.

Unfortunately, the time zones are still off and I don’t know how to fix it. I posted a note on this thread about my observations: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/timezone-data-incorrect-after-v4-upgrade/#dl_post-1036199

Thank you, looking forward to a solution.

I’m in the UTC -8 Time zone. All of my events are showing +8 hours ahead. (For example, an event starting at 8am is is starting at 4pm on The Events Calendar.) (Interestingly, events after daylight savings time ends are +7 hours.)

If I “+Export Listed Events” on the Events Calendar page, it downloads the events to my calendar and adds another +8 hours onto the event start time. So, in the example mentioned above, an event starting at 8am on one day, is starting at 12am the following day in the exported list. (for a total of +16 hours)

It seems that the time off is related to the UTC time zones. The person in New York had events showing +5 hours and they are in time zone UTC -5.

    … just a thought.

Also, I tried Hans’ fix but it didn’t work for me. (But thank you Hans!) All my events are still +8 hours in the calendar and +16 hours when downloaded. Looking forward to a solution …

    Hi Nico,

Thank you for your note. I changed the them to Twenty Thirteen, Deactivated all plugins (besides Events Calendar and iCal Importer), Cleared the browser cache and then tried to reimport my events. The time is still displaying incorrectly in the one test item I can get to display. I just purchased this plugin, so I’m not sure if the times would have displayed correctly prior to the 4 update. I also posted about an issue where my existing events are not importing. It says I have “6 events and 0 were imported.” The events are previewing just fine, they just won’t import. The only event I can get to display is a new event that I created called test. (April 13 3pm-) Please read my other post to learn more about the issue happening with iCal Importer.

I am also having this issue, but mine is shifted 8 hours. I’m on the Pacific Time zone and have “sitewide timezones everywhere” selected. I tried changing both the WordPress timezone and the options back and forth to see if that would help, but it didn’t change the time shift.
