Hi – I am following up on this and also have one more question:
Do you know why both VA and Virginia are showing in the Filter Bar:
    https://cl.ly/poOC

No Events come up when “Virginia” is selected and I don’t know how to remove it.
When adding an address for a Venue, the dropdown has the full word for all states:
    https://cl.ly/po58

Can you please advise how to remove this from the filter bar?

    Thanks!

    Thanks!

I think I understand your question … what I am mainly looking for is
    1) The Camps page to have the url xxx.com/events/camps
    2) When on the Camps page, the Active Menu Item should be Camps, not Events
    (in the top navigation)
    3) Intro text for all Events would appear when user goes to xxx.com/events;
intro text for Camps appears when user goes to xxx.com/camps, etc.

I see what you mean about what happens if the filter is applied and the
listing changes … if on the main Events page, someone chooses to filter
Camps, it would make sense that the user is still on the active page
Events, as the page itself does not change – if the url has to change when
the filer is applied that is ok. Similarly, as for what happens when filter
is selected, the intro content on that page does not change.

This is not critical – of the 2 things, #2 and /#3 are probably the issues
that are more important to address if possible (this would also impact SEO
I think?), but now that I understand more about how your structure works,
    it may not be possible.

    Hope that makes sense 🙂

    Thank you!

Also I don’t see an option in the filter to sort/choose by Month – only day and time?

That does work, thank you. I have a few more questions …
    1) If I set the default format for events to “month” and then want a list for a category page (Camps) … I created this custom url: http://tinychefs.staging.wpengine.com/events/category/summer-camp/list/?tribe_eventcategory=116
And added that to the Menu (because if I choose the Camps Category as a Menu item, it shows as a calendar since that is the default). Is this the only way to do this? That URL is ugly and also I notice the “Active” page highlighted in the Menu is still the Events page….

    3) Is there a way to show the ages field in the description that shows in a list view?

    4) Where can I add intro text on top of a Category page… the description does not show up. I suppose I need to create a custom template?

    Thank you!

One more tricky thing … the custom field I added for age – I changed the name from Age Range to Age and that is not updating on the filter bar front end? I looked in the database for it but can’t find it

    Hello Courtney!
Thanks! The camps page is a page I made and inserted the view code there.
I didn’t realize there are auto generated pages for the categories! Aha. That helps.
    Thank you.
So is my page title the issue (from a confusing permalink standpoint), or is inserting views in a new page like [tribe_events view=”map” category=”camp”]
not going to support the filter bar?
