Hi Barry, Thanks for your quick reply. I did need to enter my license key. Can you suggest/request to your devs that the update procedure should check for a license key and report that the license key needs to be entered, if needed, please?
After entering the license key, I got ‘valid license key’ or something like that, so that is good.
Then, I tried the update link again and that didn’t work, so I backed-up the events-calendar-pro folder and manually FTP uploaded the PRO 2.0.9 version into an empty events-calendar-pro folder. That worked, with the exception that I had to change the settings > Template tab from Default .. Page to Default Events Template to make the calendar and events list view full-page width like I had before the update. So, could you ask your devs to ensure that the Template settings are retained, please? Thanks for your support.

When I login to my Headway account, these announcements appear:

“Important: Headway 3.0 currently does not support upgrades from Headway 2.0.13 or earlier or the Headway 3.0 beta.

“DO NOT Upgrade existing Headway 2.0.13 sites to Headway 3.0. At this time there is no upgrade path. It will be coming with a future update.”

So how did another user upgrade to Headway 3.0, given the above info?

That said, I plan to create a new site using Headway 3.0, so could test Events Calendar then; or test it on my existing site, once the future upgradable version becomes available.

It would be really nice to get the Events Calendar fix into the 2.0.2 release since you “verified as a legit bug; we’re working now to fix it for the 2.0.2 release”.

Hi Rob, Probably the easiest way for you to test would be for me to give you temporary admin access to my site, since the site isn’t in production yet. Then, you could do your testing there. If that would work for you, please contact me.

NickC. Yes. I think that could work. I was unaware that plugins existed that extend a user’s profile with extra fields. I briefly tried out CIMY Extra Fields, but so far, see no linkage with NextGenGallery there (to select NGG photos), like a standard WP Page or Post has in the horizontal menu bar for the text block. I need to find other plugins, perhaps, that integrate a text box with NGG, WordTube, WP Media Library; in the User’s profile. Then, I need to find a plugin which will display selected User info on a WP Page.

The Organizers list currently identifies the contact info (name, email, phone, website) for each Organizer. In some sites, the Organizers are the same people as the Staff for an organization. Often, a staff page includes a description for each staff person, for example: text bio, video bio, audio bio, and photo (or photo album) of the person

Therefore, this a feature request for the Organizer to include an additional Description field that is a big white text block like a Page has, where one could include bio-text, bio-photos, bio-video, bio-audio etc. describing the Organizer. The text block would give site Editors or Authors the most flexibility – where they could use Edit Page interface to bring in video, audio, photos from libraries used by other plugins (e.g., WordTube, NextGenGallery (NGG) in addition to the WP standard Media Library).

Then, I would want to display the Organizers in my Staff page for the organization – using perhaps a Shortcode that would display the organizers in a table format, where both which fields and the order in which fields (table columns) are displayed are specified in the Shortcode, including Name, Email, Phone, Description.

The Organizers table (List) would need to be able to be formatted/styled using different options: custom CSS, inheriting the theme’s CSS for a table (if there is such a thing) or use Events-Calendar-defined-Organizer-List-CSS.

Benefit: You don’t have to repeat the contact info (that is already in the Organizer entry) within the Staff page that you already have on the site.
