    Thank you, Jennifer. That is very useful into and I can see how the Membership plugin could be leveraged for this purpose, although I am sure it would be a more straightforward option were you folks to integrate it directly. I appreciate the prompt reply and thanks again.

    Hi, Andras and thanks for the detailed reply. I went through the info on recurring events but had not read the posting on performance you referenced, so that was useful In any case, using the staging site, it took literally three minutes to call up an event with recurrences in the admin. I rolled both plugins back to 4.3.5 (EC) and 4.3.4 (ECP) and I was able to edit any event within a couple pf seconds. So there is definitely some kind of issue with the latest versions and recurring events, and I will hope that you have a fix for this soon. I noticed that there are out of memory issues occurring for some people with this version in the knows issues area so you are apparently aware of some issue here, although it seems to be on the front end for these users and not the back end. Do you ave a fix pending for this or a beta that I can try on the stating server to see if it helps?

    Just to clarify, the URL is ndmag.com, not gilp.sghost.com. Also, I replicated the site on a GoDaddy server (old.ndmag.com) and I have the same issue, editing recurring events times out or I get the spinning beachball for 2-3 minutes, in some cases I am eventually able to edit. Again, this is ONLY with recurring events, not single events.

    Thank you, Brian. I could have sworn I did that, but it does appear to work. I guess I was being influenced by all the forum postings that noted it was impossible to create an event that ended at midnight on the same day and that there was an eventual fix in the works. Sorry about that.

    Justin at Boxy Studio was able to go in via FTP and according to him, did a wp_reset_query() in the template which fixed it. Not sure to which template he was referring, but all’s well that ends well. Thanks for your quick response and assistance.

    Yeah, I figured I would check with you both at the same time. Can you confirm that the template for a single venue should be single-venue.php and not single.php? Also there is a thread on this forum from 2013 that discusses someone with the same exact issue I’m having wherein the venue description does not show up on the single venue page, and the solution was to load the Default Page template rather than Default Events Template from the TEC settings, and it was a bug that would be fixed in the next version of TEC. That’s why I was hoping it might ring a bell with you guys.

    If it sheds any light on the issue, the template used for the single venue page is

    Rendered template: wp-content/themes/espresso/single.php

    at least according to the Reveal Template WP plugin.

    Oh, yeah, this is the Espresso theme from Boxy Studio. They did a ton of cool stuff to integrate your calendar, to the point where I’m not always sure to whom I should turn with a particular question. They did this amazing weekly schedule view too:

    Unless that was you guys and I’m giving them credit for it 😉

    I meant “the meta for regular posts,” not the venue. Sorry.

    That’s what seems to be happening, but events and posts all show the info correctly. Just the venues don’t show it. Is the venue meta somehow defined or tagged differently than the venue for “regular” posts?

    That did it. I was modifying

    #tribe_events_filters_wrapper .tribe-events-filters-group-heading {

    instead of

    #tribe_events_filters_wrapper h3.tribe-events-filters-group-heading {

    I know using !Important is not ideal but for now this is great. Thanks for the assist and the quick response.
