    Hey Geoff,

Thanks for checking in on this and getting back to me. I spent a good deal of time investigating again yesterday and it appears that the Events Calendar Pro caused issues to the database on the move. After the third site transfer I figured it out and got it all cleaned up so it appears to be working. I think we are all good now!

    Have a great weekend!

    It allows for:

    30GB SSD storage
    400,000 monthly visitors

They said that this would be more then enough to handle the site. There is one more upgrade for 50GB SSD and 800,000 but it is meant for 5 sites, where this is meant for 2-3 sites.

I can upgrade to the other if needed, but from what I know I do not see this to be the issue.

    Hey Geoff,

As mentioned I built my site on a staging subdomain and then moved it over to its parent – I ran the search and replace and everything is perfect except The Events Calendar. It was only showing tags like this: [example]

The Event Calendar elements were not working at all so I assumed it had something to do with the licensing. Once I fixed the licensing on the root domain to be at doingdenverforless.com instead of staging.doingdenverforless.com it allowed me to update the plugins.

Once I updated certain elements appeared again; however, if I access an event or the main event page it basically breaks the site and times out. I did get this message on my event page in my filter bar: “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 262144 bytes) in /home/doingdenver/public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/src/Tribe/Cost_Utils.php on line 163” — I’ve noticed huge usages in my server statistics as well.

Everything was working perfect on the staging until I switched this over site over to its parent URL. Nothing else has been edited or done to the site so I have no idea why this isn’t working?

Can you please check into this ASAP? I have had to go back and forth several times with this site and have pretty my bauched the launch of this site due to issues with The Event Calendar.

Thanks again for all your help in advance! Once this move is done I expect smooth sailings!

    Hey Geoff,

While it doesn’t fit my needs quite as much as I hoped I still will be using the plugin for what I can until it no longer works at all.

I hope that your team finds a solution for this issue for the future soon so I can continue to use it for the life of the site! If the solution is an additional add on that works I will for sure buy it!

Thanks for all your help on this. Please let me know if there is ever an update to resolve this mentioned load problem.

    thanks,

    Adam

    Hey Geoff,

First off you have been awesome with all of the help, so thank you for that! 🙂

That is a bummer to hear that there isn’t a solution for it yet. If you think of even some type of random work around where I can adjust some of the coding or create separate entry logs in phpMyAdmin I can always make adjustments that way.

If I imported the pages without having them reoccurring in the settings but just by using their Facebook slug or ID every-time and copy and pasting it in the “Import: Facebook” area would that help to solve the issue that they remain in their faded and checked?

Also I saw on the other ticket he mentioned “you may find 1,300 FB pages is simply too high” — I am not even close to that. I am running 121 currently. I was hoping to do some more too.

With this in mind do you think that upgrading my server would help to solve some of the issues – or do you feel that I am probably going to end up throwing money at something that will continue to cause issues and continue to get worse?

I was ecstatic about this plugin, but am a little disheartened that it seems like it won’t be a working solution in a week or so… Anything we can do to fix this would be amazing! I am even willing to pay for some custom development work if that is an option.

Again… Thanks for all your help with everything! Once I get everything setup it should be pretty smooth sailing! 🙂

Oh! That makes sense… I originally thought maybe it accessed the user’s location through cookies or IP address.

Do you find that users discover this feature fairly naturally or do you know of common verbiage/features site owner’s normally include on the site in order to direct them to this function.

If you find that users just sort of figure it out on their own, that sounds good to me! You can then close this ticket.

Thanks again for all your help! I’ve really been enjoying your plugin and add-ons.
