ParticipantThanks.
I guess we can keep this open until there is feedback from the devs.October 25, 2014 at 7:37 am in reply to: How about not putting events with coordinates 0, 0 on the map ? #835279csikimacko
ParticipantHi Brian,
and thanks for the reply.
I do have Event Rocket so I can see the coordinates right away. Resaving a Venue that has 0,0 coordinates doesn’t help.
I am sure Google can find the location because the Google Maps link works as expected.
I have to say this is a very annoying issue that keeps coming back. Having just one Venue with 0,0 coordinates masses up the entire Map View for Events.
My original point was that the Events Calendar shall ignore every location that has 0,0 coordinates. After all, the chance of the actual coordinates of a Venue being 0,0 is virtually zero, isn’t it? This would, of course, involve not showing the map in the Venue’s page either.
The best solution, needless to say, would be is ehe Events Calendar would find and save the right coordinates.

ParticipantHi Geoff,
I’m chiming in with the same problem. I have Events Calendar PRO and Event Rocket installed. The coordinates box shows 0, 0.
Unfortunately, I don’t see the option to regenerate location data in General Settings. It wo be so cool to have it…August 21, 2014 at 8:16 am in reply to: Compatibility with site search (for custom content types) #689114csikimacko
ParticipantHello Brian,
Unpublishing and republishing may have been a solution, instead I’ve opted for a free WP plugin called Reset Slugs to regenerate the pretty permalinks. (N.B. this one regenerates every slug not just the missing ones.)csikimacko
ParticipantThank you.
I suppose that the javascript is from Events Calendar so in theory it shall be possible to insert the translated strings into it.August 19, 2014 at 5:40 am in reply to: Compatibility with site search (for custom content types) #683466csikimacko
ParticipantHello Brian,
thanks for the reply. First of all I was not aware that The Events Calendar requires pretty permalinks. I think it’s not made obvious.
So I started with pretty permalinks disabled and Venues and Organizers showing up in Site Search had their distinct but failing URLs (‘?tribe_venue=somevenue’ etc.).
When I switched on pretty permalinks later, the problem was that previously added Events, Venues, and Organizers had all the same, non-functional ‘mysite.com/0′ URL.
Any Event, Venue, or Organizer added since pretty permalinks are switched on work fine with site search.
