Please note I’m not a team member of Modern Tribe (The Events Calendar).
I ran into the same issue, earlier today.

Please go to WPML >> Translations options >> Find Tickets >> Check box Translate.
Running my admin in Dutch (so it might look a little different.

Hope this helps. I’m able to support my new event with WPML and The Events Calendar again.
