ParticipantI am trying to recreate the exact bug I am experiencing on my regular site, that is why I have the settings specifically that way. Additionally, I think the problem is actually happening with the “Create recurring events in advance for” and I have it at 2 months. That is when the problem seems to happen on my main site and it is right where it occurred on the test site. When I notice the missing events I can “edit all” and save all events in a single recurring series, and it solves the problem, but only for the single series.
Even if I run it again with a weekly or daily event, it seems like it will happen again, but not for 2 months. And possibly not at all since it only seems to be excluding the 2nd recurrence rules. I am happy to do it to help you narrow it down, but just know, it won’t happen for a couple of months and that sucks for my 70+ recurring events I have at my venue.
All of that said, I really do love the plugin and appreciate your help thus far, honestly. I will update this weekend and add a few other events with other recurrence specifics.

ParticipantI am happy to download and update the pro version, however, I was completely up to date when I made these events and I have been experiencing it on my main site for several months, so I would like to try and get to the bottom of it.
For me to update and create new events will require 2+ months for the problem to occur again and by that time I will be on an outdated version (since I only have a license for one site and it won’t auto update on my subdomain) and we will go through this again.

ParticipantAs you can see, I have 3 recurring events set up. They all run on 2 recurrence rules. They erase after a month and make events 2 months at a time. If you look in october, 2 of the events have skipped their second recurrence rule, but still have events created in November.

ParticipantThat definitely did the job, but a little too well. I am now getting events that have passed. Also, if possible I’d like to only get the next upcoming recurring event, it is showing an event from November, even though there are 2 in October.
Is there somewhere I can go for all of the possible args? I am a little green still, but I don’t want to clog up the forums if there is documentation somewhere that I can fumble through.
Thanks so much!

ParticipantHi Hunter, I already added a screenshot of that info in my first reply on june 28th. I am happy to send others over if you need them.

ParticipantI did update after your first post, sorry for not confirming. I also have reverted to default theme and deactivated all plugins, but I think this is happening as the recurring events are being auto created a week after I create the event, because I have my settings to “create events 2 months in advance” (does that make sense?). I think it is having a problem with the second recurrence description once it starts auto creating the events to stay 2 months out (again, is this making sense?). So for me to test this I would have to have everything deactivated for a week, I think.

ParticipantIt seems to happen when they start auto creating events (I only create them 2 months out(added a screenshot of my settings)). They seem to work fine through that 2 month period, I imagine that it has something to do with that. Let me know if there is anything else you need from me.

ParticipantHere is the most recent one. I don’t know why it picks certain events. It seems that it is the 2nd recurrence rule only. In the screenshots, I didn’t add any of the exceptions that are there. I have other screen shots, but this is pretty indicative of all of them.

ParticipantAlright. I found what it is specifically. When I change the start time after 4PM on any recurring event, it will not let me view single events within that series. If I switch it back to 4pm or earlier, it goes back to normal.
I was trying to customize the Pro list widget to only display the events from today, and ran into a similar problem. After 5PM (PST) it would list all events from tomorrow. I assumed this is because the server time is set to UTC. In trying to fix it I clicked on something in “timezone settings” inside the events settings. I made sure my WP settings were set to “Los Angeles” and went ahead with it.
The time zone settings look different now and give me a dropdown to either “Use local timezones…” or “use sitewide timezones…”. When I use the latter, I have those issues that started this thread, when I use the former I am back to normal.
I am unsure if this is a bug, or something that makes sense somehow, but now you know the specifics of what made that happen for me.

ParticipantSo when I create an event, the /all on the permalink doesn’t show up until I publish a recurring event, or when I update a single event to recurring. Before I publish, it looks like it should. I have tried it many different combo’s of recurrence, even down to just one other date; all immediately produce /all when I publish/update. And just to be sure, I deactivated all other plugins and reverted to 2014 again, and reproduced what I explained above.
Should I maybe reinstall the plugin? Will I lose all of my events? I really can’t afford to do that if I lose them.

ParticipantI don’t know if this came through on the previous reply.
