@George just for the record, the last 3 post I have done on this problem have been closed and treated as resolved when they were in fact not. The last one that was closed here before I could answer the question. https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/photo-view-for-calendar-still-not-working-in-4-0-2/

To tell me you are going to close the issue if the other person on the thread has no issues in spite of me still having validated issue by your testing that I verified. Is totally unprofessional and unacceptable.

My apologies for the last post. User error. If it can be deleted please do so. I have been unable to.

What I was trying to post was this.

    @george
the definition of a verified bug is when software does not work as intended or designed. This is a verified bug. Just because you can’t figure it out does not lower its priority or subtract from its importance.

This is the second time that you personallyrb have offended me as a customer. And since this keeps happening. And the software has not worked as offered when I bought, with the continued lack of urgency to resolve it, I request that me licensing fees be refunded. With this I am still eating my costs for my time loss of business because the aspects of your product that I was sold are not priority enough to make me a marginally important customer.

Please do not respond to me any further. Any communication other than somebody with some authority over the product and customer satisfaction, will be fruitless.

Former fan boy of theeventscalendar product and its potential.

@george please do not close this thread I as well as others also have this issue I we would like to have an easy way to track and follow its status.

    Thanks

    Doug

This is one of two outstanding issues with the product for my purposes since we starting talking in October:November. Would really like to have some resolution before I have to renew my plugins.

Hey George, photo view has been acting up since the previous major release.

If you go to my site http://Eastcounty.rocks, you can select photo view and see it acting up in real time. There are times when accessing photo view as your primary view or go to it from another view that the page builds and loads but does not actually display the photo section until after you select the find button when the search bar is displayed. I personally believe that the bug is so prolific that most implementations of your add on have chosen to disable it completely. It has also always been my proferred default landing view. So to be able to see it and when it is fixed I just changed the default landing view to list.

Previous to this becoming an issue this time, a similar bug was once determined to be a web server configuration issue.

In the release I installed today, there was a reference to a photo view fix for mobile browser access. I have not found that to have fixed this issue. Please feel free to contact me if you have additional questions.

I have also confirmed the bug to exist, in a vanilla test setup using versions prior to today’s releases.

Just to clarify. The date issue only appears on the Facebook import screen. The population of the same value in start and end time/date is a product of your tool when it imports the event… If the end time/date shouldn’t be populated your import should not populate it.. Manually intervention is not an acceptable solution. It means it’s not automated at two levels. After manually importing as well auto importing.

I did change the date to -8 UTC and reran the Facebook import and the import screen did not change. That date on that screen is being displayed from the graph API interigation and not a field on the event data base.( my assumption) The event can be removed and reimported with the same results.

Screen shots to answer your questions.

Changing from Los Angeles to -8 does not change the display on the Facebook import screen.

George, you may also like to know that the end of day cut off is set to 3:00 am

Los Angeles. (-8). Use local timezone is also selected in the event calendar general settings. All of my events are in the same time zone as me. (-8).

George, yes indeed. If the event spans over midnight it appears on the Facebook import page as the date of the end time.

I am on the latest releases of the calendar and all plugins.

The events are now marked as imported appropriately, it’s just that the date shown is the end date instead of the start date.

    Brian,

That’s great news. Just curious if you fix also resolves the date display issue on the Facebook import screen? If it does not, you may want to look at it, it could be related.

You are awfully sensitive for someone who is so condescending. I have begun deleting all the events from the database and changing the settings.

Pleas note that I have done this entire interaction and changes to my system on a cell phone from my fathers hospital room. I am out of state as my father has had congestive heart failure.

As I instructed with Facebook page IDS that I Shared? These are Facebook pages to automatically check for events and import them. Not actual Facebook events.

I need to know that you have not given up as well

Before I go any further with this have you followed my instructions recreate the issue on a vanilla install?

I am not gonna waste my time if you are not willing to try and recreate it as I detailed.. This is not on me if you won’t try with the information I gave you..

Are you serious? I just told you what it was I am referring to. It’s the screen of data from the help screen of plugin.

This is going from bad to worse.
