    Hi Hunter,

    Thanks for your reply.

    > If so, go ahead and hit the “Fix venues data” button to see if that has an effect on the behavior.

I wan’t do this: Previous experience showed, that than any manually entered geo coordinates are overwritten (by the way: with NIL, if Google refuses to provide geo coordinates — which happens more often than that Google does provide data).

    > If so, are you recommending that if a venue has the lat/log coordinates entered
    > in addition to the address, the lat/long should take priority over the venue address?

Exactly. The current behaviour is, in my eyes a flaw in the design: The small map uses the coordinates but the full window map not. But the reason for entering coordinates is to enable Google to pin point the location correctly — so why should you provide data, Google can only use to guess the location, when exact location information is available?

(Exact location may even be of interest, if Google can identify an address correctly: For example, to pin point the entry to use if the location site is somewhat larger.

    Same (wrong) behaviour.

    Regards

By the way: Because RSVPs being e-mailed to the administrator only was of no use to us, I disabled the plugin again.

It should be a simple thing, to send e-mails to the organisator as stated in the database or to an e-mail address entered manually. (That’s our solution now, a simple form being sent to an address noted in the short code of this form — unfortunately without on-site management of the RSVPs as in your plugin.)

    Thanks for your answer.

As for the translation of “venue (location)”: I’ve noticed, that my corrections had found its way into the delivered translations — and realized, that I did not change the problematic entry (on the venue page to the left of the Google map: translation “Veranstaltungsort” too long and not fully shown). Rather than changing further entries by trial and error, please get your translation manager to correct the issue.

Unfortunately, you do not note the css file into which this code should go. So I could not add it on the site.

Thanks for your answer. When posting I had not yet realized that the Events Calendar translations are distributed over multiple projects and multiple sites.
