ParticipantIs there a list of plugins that are known to cause issues? The backend of this website is a bit clunky, even for wordpress, and I have deactivated most of the plugins without any change. THere are a few that have not been deactivated, like the Events Calendar plugins and color change category plugin as well as a few others that deal with pics, mp3 audio, etc.
Changing the theme to a default wordpress theme will change the entire look and feel of the site so Im not sure the point of doing that other than to see if that fixes it. If it does, we are still stuck because that doesn’t address the current theme not working properly.
Seeing that the single event pages in question here work when removing that extra forward slash, what plugin/module/theme error/etc could cause this to happen? It seems to me that it should be an easier fix than what Ive been given as fixes. Basically, what you’re saying is that we just need to troubleshoot until we find the problem. But as I did not build it and thus do not know 100% of the site, some of the actions needed to be taken in order to troubleshoot will require additional time to rebuild it back to how it is currently.
Has there not been another user with similar issues? Does anyone else in the company have any ideas? Could I change the single event slug to just /shows/ instead of “upcoming-shows” and solve the issue?

ParticipantEvents URL: upcoming-shows
Single Event URL: upcoming-showmartin
ParticipantHunter,
Btw, forgot to mention the versions of the free vs. premium are 1 different:
1) Event Calendar Version – 4.0.4
2. Events Calendar PRO Version – 4.0.3martin
ParticipantHi Hunter,
I did that on the first day just to check and make sure settings were updated. As you can see on the site here, http://www.liverpoollegends.com/upcoming/-show/royal-carribean-cruise-serenade-of-the-seas-2/ – it is not working.
The dashboard is giving me this error: “The page “UPCOMING SHOWS” uses the “/upcoming-shows” slug: the Events Calendar plugin will show its calendar in place of the page.
Edit the page slug or edit Events settings.”Thanks
martin
ParticipantUnfortunately, as I did not build the site, changing the main slug will need to be accompanied by a lot of link changes, incoming link redirects, etc. If at all possible, we do not want to take that route.
If this is happening to more than one customer, I would think a fix is in development or a workaround is in place.
