Your solution works wonderfully well. I never managed to get the suggestions from https://tri.be/support/forums/topic/show-only-todays-events-2/ to work.

However, it looks like with your code, you can no longer use this code (http://pastebin.com/N2YrKMJE) to show the thumbnail for each event. When I insert it into your code, it gives me the same image for all the events. Any idea how I can fix this?

Hello,

Figured out that Events follows the date formatting set in your WordPress settings. Initially I thought it followed its own formatting, but this seems to not be the case. Change the formatting in your settings and it changes everywhere.

Hi Neil,

Thanks for your response. I added which seems to be the required time format and I am getting an interesting result. If in the Widget settings I set the “Number of events to show” to 1 it shows the right event. If I set it to more than 1, it just repeats the first event and does not show the other events. Is there a way to make it so all of the day’s events (regardless of how many there are) show?

So it finally does show events! haha But it is only showing me a bunch of recurring events in reverse order. Not showing me today’s events:

Am I not using the right $args?

However, those $args that you mentioned do not seem to be returning anything. Are you sure they are compatible with 3.0? Do I need to change them at all?

Hi Neill,

Yes, I want the widget to only show the events for the current day. SO on the 11th of July, the widget would only show the events for the 11th and tomorrow display everything for the 12th.
