ParticipantThis is an update to a previous thread about showing a list of today’s events (found here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/show-only-todays-events/)
Unfortunately after updating to version 3, this (https://gist.github.com/spigotdesign/5978885) no longer seems to work.
Also unfortunatly, the examples for tribe_get_event() shown here: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/the-events-calendar-template-tags-general-functions/?codekitCB=395267078.505684#functiontribe_get_events also no longer work.
Has start_date and end_date been deprecated?

ParticipantHere is a fix for anyone needing to know how to query for just todays events. Inspired by this from Jonah: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/version-three-breaks-custom-event-display-using-wp_query/#post-54168

Thanks guys!

MemberGreat! So you’re all sorted on this one?

ParticipantYes it appears so Barry. I must have been doing it wrong before, but it somehow still worked.
Thanks again,

ParticipantThanks for this, Bryan. Please could the documentation be updated as soon as possible Barry? It’s incredibly frustrating to build (and try to debug) something based on the official docs when they are totally incorrect. I have wasted a lot of time on this.

ParticipantHi Bryan,
Thanks a lot for posting. I couldn’t get your fix to work: http://pastebin.com/FEsLChK8
Do you think you could please point me in the right direction?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi ali7e,
I’m not quite an expert on this, but since you’re editing the widget I don’t think you can re-write the query. Perhaps try adding it into a widget that renders php. I use PHP Code Widget: http://wordpress.org/plugins/php-code-widget/
Good luck,
